I've been meaning to experiment with quiche (crustless obviously); however, we don't own a skillet that can go from stovetop to oven. Soooo... needless to say, I stick with scrambles and bakes never combining the two.
If I was able to make one, there would be no cheese. I don't like cheese... ::gasp:: IKR? I'm a one-of-a-kind-weirdo who doesn't like cheese.
If you were going to make it, and you wanted cheese, I wouldn't sweat it with alternative. I'd go full-fat and just be moderate about the amount you used. There's no point in omitting something you like completely as long as it doesn't rule your meals.
Case in point? I had 2 squares of chocolate and a bit of fig newton type cookie last night. The only thing paleo about that was the fig in the middle of the cookie. Still woke up nearly a pound lighter today than I was yesterday.
Good to know! I started paleo when you mentioned it before I got KU. But, I can only eat cheese and carbs and gross food right now without getting sick. I'm starting to feel better and I've been doing so research on paleo and pregnancy and it seems like its totally safe. I'm planning on going back as soon as my stomach starts to feel better. Also, meat really discuses me right now, so I will have to work through that too before I start again. My goal wouldn't be to lose weight, just not to gain a crazy amount.
