I need advice. My daughter is 27 months and all of a sudden she seems scarred of everything when it's time for bed at night. What happened was on Tuesday morning around 3 in the morning she woke up crying and I let her cry for awhile and then I went in to go rock her back to sleep but she didn't want to rock so wanted to leave her room so I told her that we could go downstairs to sleep in the bedroom downstairs. (The only time she has ever slept with us was when we were on vacation) We probably slept for 45 min when she woke up saying "mama" and then she looked around and she got freaked out about something. She started to scream and shake. I'm thinking she saw the blankets that were bunched at the end of the bed. But ever since then I can not get her to go to sleep anywhere not even in my room with me. It seems like once its time for bed all her fears come out. I can't even get her to nap during the day. She will not even let me rock her to sleep anymore. I have to standup and hold her until she falls asleep which right now is hard because I'm 5 months pregnant. My husband says to just let her cry herself to sleep because he thinks that she is playing me right now. It just breaks my heart to see her like this. So has anyone else experienced this and if so what did you do? Thanks in advance.
Re: Toddler is all of a sudden afraid of everything. HELP!!!
This is for all the caterpillars that never became butterflies. And for all the butterflies that never felt the wind in their wings. And for all the hearts that had hopes and dreams of a wondrous flight together.
She always talking about the dark even during the day she needs me to turn the lights on for her in any room she needs to go in.
I figure its a phase just like everything else, as soon as you figure it out it'll all change!
