I want to get a book for DD, age 3, that explains in an age appropriate way adoption and how she will be getting a little sister. I tried looking around online, but I couldn't really find anything. Anyone know if they make any good books for preschool age siblings about adoption?

TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!
Re: Books for sibling about adoption?
I loved Waiting for May, because it explained the wait and why it takes so long, but it's probably geared to kids a bit older than your daughter.
Then, I found a ton of book on what it's like to be a big brother/sister. If you find out you are having a boy, I adored The First Rule of Little Brothers, especially because it pointed out that while they might be a pain (always wanting to hang around and do just what you do), it?s just because they look up to you and want to be just like you! But again, this book is more appropriate if you are not adopting a baby.

This is the only one I have so far. It is written in the perspective of the adopted child and shares his open adoption story. It's a sweet book with cute pictures. I read it to my DD sometimes. I'm hoping it will help her understand her bio brother's story.
