So, my friend deserves a mom medal. She is a SAHM mom of 2 under 2. Her hubby works long hours, and they recently moved to the area, so she knows no one and has no family.
Oh, and she's legally blind, or nearly so.
And she and the kids all have the stomach flu. And she's still fairly cheery sounding.
I dropped groceries, like ginger ale and pedialyte, on her doorstep over lunch. No brownies, so I'm not the best friend, just second best. And there's no way I'm helping with the kids. I never thought I was a germophobe, but the thought of being in a house with three puking people freaks me out.
So, mom medal to my friend dealing with being sick and caring for two puking kids and saying, "oh, it's not bad, it's just a bit hectic." Anyone else know someone who deserves a mom medal?
Or know how to get me to stop freaking over germs and just go help the poor lady?
Re: I'm the SECOND most awesome friend in the world
Yeah, we had the stomach flu earlier this year, and it was no joke. You did the right thing.
The care package you brought will be awesome though. My mom did that for us a couple years ago when DH and I had the flu, and I will never forget how appreciative I was to have those saltine crackers!
very nice.
Poor lady!
