I know a few young teen moms(16,14,15 years old when daughter was born)who have used this name. I have seen it spelled Kaydence, Cadenze and Kadence.
Is this a real name? How is it supposed to be spelled? I like it but not these spellings.

Re: Is this a real name?
They have a warped sense of improvement! The spellings of this name I have seen make me gag.

I agree with this.
It's like naming your kid Rhythm...then spelling it Rithym. It just adds insult to injury.
Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
This - it is a word that has been converted into a name (it is fairly popular in my area) and then uniquely spelled for some flava!
)
Cadence is one of those word names like Melody and Harmony.
It isn't just for the teen mom set, I know a 30 something, crunchy couple who just named their daughter Cadence.
I like how you put this. I was in marching band so it's really hard for me to think of it as a name. Like Queenbone said, it would be like Melody and Harmony started appearing. I was also in chorus so I still kind of have problems with them but I guess since it's been around for decades I just have to get over it.
I didn't mean the name was for the teen mom set! I just meant the wacky spellings I mentioned!

It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
