I send fresh milk every day (thankfully I keep up with her appetite, but just barely) and only freeze extra. I consider my frozen to be "emergency" milk.
I send the fresh stuff to daycare, mainly because LO has been getting over RSV (and I caught the virus/cold) and I want him to have all the antibodies I can give him right now. But its also easier than defrosting the frozen and freezing the unfrozen. I just supplement w/ frozen if I don't pump enough during the day so I have enough to send.
I plan on using the frozen stuff to keep him on bm a little longer once we stop breast feeding.

I'm a SAHM, but I do supplement with 2 ounce of my own pumped milk a day, so I'm a "pumper". 90% of the time he gets fresh milk, I just put a little in the freezer for emergencies. Fresh milk is far superior to frozen milk as far as immunities are concerned. During cold and flu season I think it's important to give them fresh milk with live immune properties to try to keep them healthy.
My freezer stash is for emergencies or when I don't pump enough. So I send fresh ones unless the freezer stash is getting close to 2-3month old - then I'll send frozen and freeze the fresh. Trying as hard as possible not to waste!
I send fresh milk every day. I freeze what I pump on Friday. I pump Sat and Sun morning to send on Monday.
Is this so you can cycle through your frozen?
The other one with sending frozen just on Monday would do that but this seems like it would only build a stash and not cycle any since frozen is never used.
Sorry, quoted the wrong person... yes, that makes sense!
I freeze when I have over 25 oz. in my fridge. I guess I have a pretty good freezer stash right now, maybe 150oz. And i freeze in 5oz incriments. Next week I go back to work and she'll be going to my moms twice a week, I was planning in sending fresh and giving my mom some frozen to keep as back up. That is my plan... Hopefully it works out.
I freeze if I have 15 ounces in the fridge. I also supplement with formula in the evening some days...I want her to be okay with formula if my supply stops.
also - my DH wanted to take out some frozen and give her that instead of the formula. I said "oh heck no!" LOL because once I cannot produce anymore I would like her to have another few weeks of my milk to mix it up...I want to start to TTC later this year and IDK if I will lose my supply if I get knocked up
Our Lactation Consultant told us that fresh milk is good in the fridge for up to 4 days, so I always send fresh. I send what I pump Friday with her to daycare on Monday. Any extra that I pump on the weekends, I freeze for emergency situations or for when we have babysitters come over.

I haven't had the need to use any frozen because I'm able to produce enough. I'm just building a stash. I have a big stash so I just donated 100 oz this week.
I send frozen on Monday. Then I pump Mon for Tues and so on. so she gets fresh Tuesday through Friday. Then I freeze whatever I pump on Friday.
Same.
Same here. I am struggling to keep up with her, so I am pumping weekends too. So she gets some fresh and some frozen on Mondays. I have very little freezer stash, which is why I added extra weekend pumping.

this is about what I do also, I SAHM so I have got had to give any frozen milk yet. I just keep it in the fridge and freeze in 6 oz incements, I plan to use it if I am ever gone over night or to extend teh amount of time she gets BM after I stop pumping in several months
II started just using frozen, but when I saw that I was pumping enouenough for her to eat the next day plus leftovers, I send fresh milk with her. I do freeze a couple of 3-4 oz bags a day, but I haven't had to use my stash much...I figure she's better off getting the fresh stuff, aND whatever is left in my freezer after we stop nursing I'll just donate.
