I just realized one of the best non-baby related things about having a baby is the fact that it's officially been one year since the start of my last period. My last period started on January 17th of LAST year! Since I'm EBF, I'm hoping I'll get a few more months without AF showing up.
What are some other pleasant side effects of having a baby?
Re: What's the best side-effect of having a baby?
A built in excuse for those extra holiday treats! lol.
Nobody judged those extra couple holiday pounds this year
Guilt free reason to leave early from anything.
I now take work breaks (pump), when I almost never left my desk before. The day goes so quickly.
I smile way more so I can see my baby smile.
Improved time management and multi tasking skills!
Word for word, this.
Boobs I never thought I would have if not for surgery.
And 1 yr no AF is pretty great too.
me too! It was amazing.
hey lucreciac - did you see my question in the other post? Do we know each other - you look familiar and your baby is in a AON shirt and I am from Northbrook.....
THIS (what a beautiful realization - that's some poetic shizz right there).
Also, I feel like I don't get AS sick or sick for AS long now that I have all these kids to tend to. No matter how crappy I feel, I don't have the option to lay in bed and feel bad for myself because there are diapers to be changed, lunches to prepare, teeth to brush, etc. I think because I have to keep moving and not wallow, I get over things faster. Anyone else feel that way?
I second the ability to get out of things or leave early from awkward social events, and also, I love having a baby model at my disposal to practice my photography on.
I've also learned how to clean the whole house in, like, 30 minutes.
Exactly all of this!
