This is why I'm avoiding getting pregnant until July, so I don't have to throw a winter party
Jason woke up absurdly early one morning (4:40 am). I went in, gave him his milk, and he wanted to play. So I put him in his crib with a few books, and he was a happy clam for about 30 minutes.
I am really regretting not doing things when it was just DH and I - should've done the "before we have kids" bucket list.
Count me in the bad mom club then because I'm annoyed every morning since O is up at 530. Well today it was 6 so I was slightly less annoyed however he woke twice last night.... ugh!
True! H is Jan 4th and no one even remembers it because everyone is just coming off the holiday high. Poor guy... I'm included in that forgetful bunch somewhat!
Why do so many September babies not like sleeping in? DS slept til 7 yesterday but then was up at 5 this morning. Gah!
I hosted the geography bee at school this week so I had to have a sub in my class while that went on. I got a half day sub (4 hrs) but the bee only lasted for like an hour and a half.
Since the class was already covered I headed over to the teachers lounge and graded...it was glorious to have quiet time to get stuff done without meetings, parent calls, etc. But I felt really guilty I didn't go back to class, especially when the kids were complaining about the substitute the next day.
And if being annoyed that your kid steals away sleep makes you a bad mom I don't think there would be any "good parents" at all!
I don't knoe whow flamable this can be. Maybe depending on how you see it. Yesterday I was with my Mom and Gradma and I have ALWAYS wanted to get two more piercings in my earlobes with very small earings. My Mom convince me to do it. The flamable part? I didn't told H. I though I would surprise him since he never told me anything about it... yeah when I finally told him [because he didn't noticed them when he came home] he almost flipped out. Now he is all happy again hehe Thank God because spending a weekend away with someone mad at you is not fun at all :P
I still do not know how to change the diaper genie! My husband does it so why do I need to learn?
1. 1 year, 3 months, 4 weeks, and 2 days :P
2. I know how to change the darn thing, but every time I start the new bag insert, I screw it up. So I let DH too

Get boyshorts. They go underneath your booty so no more lines and comfort will be had.
Good for you guys! That's not flameable at all, it's admirable. DH and I both know how to change the stupid thing no problem, but we both hate doing it so much that we just let it get way overfull. Than we both complain that it stinks, in hopes that the other person will change it.
Here's mine: Yesterday, I sent stuffed shells to the babysitter for T's lunch. Even though the babysitter told me last night that Tatum wasn't too keen on them, I sent them with her again today. I was going to make her a PB&J, but we were out of bread. Stuffed shells or pizza were the only options in the house (without cooking something at 10:30 at night when I was getting her lunch ready), and I wanted the pizza for my own lunch today.
SO was working out of town all week, so I was freaking out on Sunday thinking about how hard it was going to be to get B ready in the morning by myself, do day care drop off and get to work on time.
I'm happy to report our mornings went smoother than if SO had been there. Now I feel justified in my feelings that sometimes he just gets in the way instead of helping.
I bought G a set of mega type blocks on clearance at Target yesterday. My plan is the save them for a birthday gift for her. She spotted them right away and we barely made it out of Target without her ripping into them so I let her play with them when we got home.
My confession: I plan on letting her play with them for a couple of days until she gets bored of them and then putting them up to save for her birthday.
Yeah, whats up with that. I feel the same way. I just can't do it anymore.
Agreed! The mornings where DH says he can help I cringe. Things go much smoother when he is not there. D and I have a system and understanding of each other... sometimes Daddy just gets in the way.
We did this at Xmas. SIL gave me a toddler chair to reupholster for D. It was in pretty bad shape & in the back of my care. Dh carried it in and set it in the LR instead of taking it downstairs like I asked him too. D got up from her nap & it was the first thing she went for. Several days she loved that ratty thing. She loves it even more now that Mommy gave new life to it with clean, untorn fabric. I'll have to post a pic.
Same here. I actually asked DH to show me way back in the day when we first set it up, and he said it would be a Daddy responsibility. No complaints here!

I'm scared to change a girls diaper for fear of messing something up. I mean, I have the same parts yet I'm scared! Ive only ever changed boys my whole life.
Same here. They also sit weird on my and look like I have a big bulge in front when I don't. It's very odd.
My 4yo believes it's me singing on Rihanna's "Diamonds". And I let him. He says, "This is the one with you singing on it, Mommy!" I was teasing the kids once about how great of a singer I am and that it was me. The big kids didn't believe me, of course, but T did.
I like when my kids are sick because it gives us an excuse to lay around in jammies. We watch tv and snuggle while they feel miserable. I have fond memories of the kids' illnesses. Is that horrible?
Eeewwwww gross! That sent chills all over me. I can't even stand to stomp on any "crunchy" type bugs to kill them. That sound just freaks me out. Bleh!
Mine is related: D ate dog poop in our backyard! DH was out there scooping the poop and D was playing on the patio with a toy car. I was washing dishes and can see them both from the window. I saw D walk over to DH and assumed he'd pick him up or something...nope he just let him wander around the yard and he picked up poop and put it in his mouth! I pounded on the window and ran outside but by the time I got there he had already spit it out making a yuk face. Ugh! Nasty.
I'm pretty sure my H doesn't know how to change it. He keeps stuffing diapers in there until it won't close and it locks up, which makes it soooo much worse to change. He's lucky he isn't home much or I would be reading him the riot act after having to pry a poopy diaper out of that thing.
My FFFC: I plan on doing absolutely nothing today, but watching the baby and tv. I am not super sick, but I feel crappy enough to justify it.
N had instand oatmeal. She's got some diaper irritation I think from fruit so I wanted to give her something easy and not likely to irritate -- oats was all we could come up with.
I'm with you all> I hate boyshorts and don't care about panty lines anymore lol all I wear are the bikini type.
My FFFC is that I'm most likely getting out of work early today but since I still have so much to do before our flight tonight I probably won't be picking up Gaby from daycare until 5pm as usual. That way I can accomplish more. I hope that doesn't make me a bad mom.

I really want to go to an astrologer or psychic! I have been watching millionaire matchmaker and this season Patti brings in an astrologer and it sounds very interesting! I would love to hear that I have a baby girl with a giant bow on her sweet little head and a Range Rover in the near future!
