Wow - TGIF, holy smokes. I am feeling so super overwhelmed by life today, so I'm looking forward to the distraction of your posts!
QOTD: If Logistics (time, money, access, talent, energy, etc...) weren't a barrier, what activity or hobby would you take up?
And what's going on for everyone this weekend?

Re: Friday Folly
My answers:
QOTD: Glass Blowing! I've always wanted to give it a shot, but it's a minimum of about $400 for a class around here, so always out of my reach. Honourable mentions: Metal sculpting, woodworking, sewing (this one might actually be attainable), and memoir writing. And H. and I have talked about trying out swing dancing, but haven't been able to schedule...
Weekend plans: H. and I are both done working a bit early today, so I'm going to get a head-start on the laundry this afternoon and the chores, and maybe if I get home before it's too late we can take Frannie (the dog) for a nice walk. Hanging out with H. has been the highlight of my days lately, so I am glad to have lots of family time this weekend.
Tomorrow the local Queer Parenting program is having a dance party that I'm going to help out with, and I also have a meeting for the Gender Independent Kids & Families group I work/volunteer with. I love hanging with the queer families and their kiddos, and am so inspired by the little gender-queer kids I help out with.
And Sunday H. and I have tickets to The Penelopiad, the latest Margaret Atwood play, featuring Megan Follows in it (from Anne of Green Gables), so I'm expecting to relive all my childhood lesbian crushes!

Does traveling count? Because if money were no issue I'd travel much, much more.
This weekend is going to be pretty low-key. A kid's bday party, a gtg with friends, and hopefully some sleep.
QOTD: If talent were no obstacle, I would become a signer songwriter with a guitar and a queer/*** folks song list.
If time, money, and access were no obstacle, I would travel Canada and the U.S. as an social justice organizer and would help university and college students figure out how to develop effective campus organizations and advocacy campaigns for a variety of social justice issues with a focus on HIV/AIDS activism.
Weekend plans-- M mentioned ours for the most part. I will add that tomorrow while she is at her meetings, I hope to catch up a bit on my to-do list and maybe even go start the two-month gym membership I bought a groupon for. And Saturday night we are hanging with one of my BFF's and his partner.
We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.
Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.
Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255
1st ultrasound (3/6 6w 1d): TWINS!!!! Twin A measuring 6w1d with a heartbeat of 118bpm. Twin B measuring 6w0d with a heartbeat of 113bpm.
***July 18, 2014 we lost our beautiful babies at 21 weeks gestation. They were born too early. Tavin Sara T. and Casey Elizabeth T. are beautiful and precious and we will love them and miss them forever.***
FET #1 December 2014
My answer for the QotD is there are LOTS of things I would do if those items weren't barriers lol. But mostly I think crafty-type things, like sewing, knitting, crafting, etc. But I also think if money weren't a barrier I would not be working where I am now. I have a dream of owning a centre that would have a birthing centre, a midwifery practice, an area for acupuncture/chiro/massage to practice. My slightly more attainable goal is to start my own business as a doula and general baby consultant, but that too is out of reach right now because it's just not financially feasible for us (stupid money).
This weekend is packed! Tonight M and I are going to a wrestling show after work. Tomorrow morning I have an acupuncture appointment, then we'll spend the day doing errands, window shopping, etc. Sunday M has to work so I'll probably spend the day just relaxing at home. Monday night I'm going to a screening of Birth Story, an Ina May documentary, which I am SO pumped for. M isn't really into that so I'll be going on my own but I'm hoping to bump into some women I've met recently at these types of events so that I'm not really alone for it.
Have a great weekend everyone!
QOTD:
I have never really traveled, so that might be fun. Other than that I am not really sure. I would probably own a ton more books and crafting supplies. Oh and I might resume my love for dirt bikes, although M may have other opinions on that one.
Weekend plans:
Bed rest and a date night. Not sure where we are going or what kind of food we are going to eat but we are definitely going lol. Also my sister is coming over to help M get the last bit of deep cleaning done so no matter what happens we are ready to rock.
06/12 - BFP!!!!

Beta #2 18dpo - 1097
6wk U/S on 07/02 ~ TWINS!!!
EDD 02/21/13
09/10/12 Found out it's two Boys!!!! Sam and Jake
Jacob and Samuel born 1/29/13 at 36 weeks.
travel...hands down.
with work, financial constraints, and the kids' school schedule it is darn near impossible.
QOTD: I also would abandon my day jobs for the life of a singer songwriter. I would also settle for traveling the world as a back up singer to someone completely amazing, but doing my own stuff would be awesome. I would also be more crafty in general. For example, I still have pictures from a really long trip I took 7 years ago that hasn't made it to a scrapbook yet.... terrible. Sewing clothes and items from scratch would be really fulfilling.
Luckily, I've got a long weekend coming up with MLK day on Monday. I think I will finish organizing our upstairs bathroom (I know, totally boring), in preparation for putting the house on the market. Tonight is an improv show! DP is in a great troupe, so I'm there once a month to show support and laugh my butt off. Looking forward to some QT at home. It's been an exciting week for us.
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
Overwhelmed here too. Only got 30 min of sleep. We have a sick L and she is never sick but OH MY GOD she is the worse sick child ever only wants to be held while standing and last night i had to stand in the hallway so she can star at the nightlight WTF.... she cried No strike that she wailed the entire night and somehow M slept right through it ... RIGHT THROUGH it
QOTD: SAILING M's family is all boaters and sea people and I would like to learn to sail or something in the water I guess since my surgery i wanna do a lot that i normally would not have and maybe scubadiving ( she almost died on a dive so I am weary )

QOTD: I would definitely travel all over the world with my wife. I also love to scrapbook, but never seem to have the time or money to make my scrapbooks exactly how I want them.
This weekend we have to replace an alternator in one of our cars. It died on Monday and I was left on the side of the road. Thank goodness my wife had just got off work and was able to come wait with me for the tow truck.
We are also going to visit my wife's dad, step mom and little sister. We haven't celebrated Christmas with them yet. I want to get our car fixed before we drive two hours away. Our other car is very old and not reliable at all. In other words, we both need to get new cars, ugh.
