Re: ~*~DE/DEmbryo/GC Check-in~*~
Sorry I'm late with the check-in this week. Things got a little hectic! I've been thinking of everyone!
I started Delestrogen and had my lining check and bloodwork yesterday. Everything looked good, and I'm set for my transfer on Monday. We are planning on doing an eSET like we did with our daughter.
IVF#1 Oct 2009 (CCRM) - BFN
IVF#2 March 2010 - Poor response/cancelled
DE IVF#1 Aug 2010 - BFN
DE IVF#2 Dec 2010 - Transferred 1, 2 frozen - BFP!
TTC#2 FET Jan 2013 - Transferred 1 - BFP!
GL, JM1977, with your upcoming transfer!
Things are well at this end. My Verifi test came back negative for Trisomy 13, 18 and 21; now I think we are going to decline the amnio. It also said that we are having a girl. I am now 14 weeks; next U/S check in as at 16 weeks. I am trying to think positive thoughts and not stress.
By the way, I saw that there is now a third party repro board- yeah! I was not able to post on this from my end, however.
QOTW: My pregnancy was the result of a frozen transfer; our first fresh cycle did not work. I had been looking into Donor Egg Bank USA (https://www.donoreggbankusa.com/) in case our first donor did not work out. However, I don't have personal experience with them.
GL to all the ladies with upcoming cycles this month.

McIrish-((((hugs)))) Hope that your anger will wear off and that whatever you decide to do, or not do, will bring you peace.
Update-We went to Primary MD, lawyer and RE on Tuesday. All legal is finished and agency has been paid. We are ready to cycle whenever we can get approval from HMO to cycle. Home today dealing with snags. Primary MD saw me on Tuesday and requested a referral from Humana. Humana will not provide it until I see a OB/GYNE. I had all my preliminary testing at an OB/GYNE back in October, problem is that it was not a Dr. within the same medical group-and Humana's not liking that. The lady from the referral's dept is trying to get enough info from RE to show that this is a referral for "continuing care" through my RE, and NOT a new referral to RE. Today is CD 24 today. RE wants me to call and come in for bw and ultrasound when AF comes, but they are unable to do this (according to their Humana contract, they are not even allowed to see me without referral). RE wrote a script for BCP. Just waiting for RE's office to open so that I can apprise them of the situation (found out after RE closed yesterday).
QOTW: What are your thoughts/experience with frozen DE/DEmbryo cycles? Do you have any information to share about any of the DE frozen egg programs? We looked into frozen DE through several different egg banks due to it being less expensive. We were concerned about spending all our money here and then not being able to avoid a fresh cycle. For me, some of my final decisions were made after questioning the quality of the women's eggs who had been placed in the egg bank. My clinic would not allow me to pay for a fresh cycle with a donor, but I know that she was cycle for their own egg bank. She has been removed from my clinics donor program until one of her eggs (either frozen from her first cycle or from the egg bank) produces a BFP.
Update: my u/s on Monday showed an empty ute, but I expected as much. I wasn't having any symptoms, and some of the HPTs I had been taking were getting lighter. So that coupled with my low beta to start off made me come to expect that. So we'll try again hopefully here in another month or 2. AF arrived with a vengeance last night so I'll probably start BCPs today or tomorrow.
QOTW: At first we were looking into DEmbryos and I think it's a great, cost-effective option. We just ended up leaving our clinic because of their disorganization and the long wait. I don't have any experience with frozen eggs but I do know that pretty much everyone I've talked to that has used RBA loves them.
SAIF Always Welcome
TTC #1 since Fall 2008
High FSH, Sertoli Cell Only Syndrome
Unsuccessful with my OE, moving to DE + DS
DE + DS IVF #1: Dec 2012 - BFP, nothing at first u/s
DE + DS IVF #3: 7/12/13 - BFP! Finally! No heartbeat at 7w1d.
Do not use CNY for frozen eggs!!! They have actually abandoned the program but still show some banked eggs. But they have yet to master the freezing or thawing. There has not been a single positive pg from the program. I am a patient there. I "know" a woman on another board who has tried it twice. Yesterday they thawed 12 eggs for her and only 2 survived.
Chicago- glad you are well. I am so happy for you as your betas were scary. Glad you fell on the good side.
JM- best of luck for your FET.
Happywife- always rooting for you. We've been in this together forever it seems. Hope you can get the insurance sorted out. I know it makes you want to pull your hair out.
AFM- some of you know that my donor bailed on our cycle yesterday in the middle of stimming! Her ER was supposed to be next week. I am beyond angry, mad, sad etc that someone would do this. She has donated before. She knew what to expect and should not F with people like this. I'm so tired of having these crazy random " that never happens" stuff happening to me. My clinic is offering some other donors who do not have a second recipient and are cycling right now to me. I'm on estrace and lupron already. DH and and I either accept one of these random donors or we are done forever. I cannot start over. I've lost any faith I had in this process. My insurance also expires in March so we are stuck. We have to make a crazy decision today.

SAIF/PAIF Welcome
http://waitingforraintostop.wordpress.com
Status: DH and I started Lupron on Monday. It's been a bit of gong show trying to get it right, but I think last night we finally managed to sort things out. I am letting DH give me the shots, because I know I won't be able to do the PIO on my own and I need him to be well practiced! I stop BCP tomorrow. Our embryo's have not been made yet, so I'm hoping that all goes well and we have at least 2 viable healthy embryo to work wiht. Otherwise, this will all be a waste of time. I'm feeling optimistic, even though I know that there is know guarantee.
QOTW: We are using Frozen DE. We would have done fresh but the donor we found who is for me perfect was already cycling for a couple who backed out when we found her. They couldn't delay the ER, so her eggs were added to our clinics Frozen Egg Bank, but held for us for the time being. DH looked at the stats and was comfortable with the risk. Our clinic guarantee 2 viable embryo when using their FE Bank. They will thaw 1 batch of egg after another until they get them. If they get 3 or more they fertilize all will freeze any left over embryo for future use. So at the moment I feel really good about using frozen eggs. I can only hope that it stays that way.
Good Luck JM1977!
McIrish - I am so frustrated and angry with this last set back. I wish you didn't have to make another quick and difficult decision, but I hope, when you make your choose that it brings you the peace you deserve.

ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!
JM1977: FX for your transfer!!!
Chicagobride: Exciting news about your little girl!
Happy wife: Good luck, I hope you guys are able to work through all of the hurdles.
Strudel: I know! I was just wondering the same thing about the new board. I might page KdgTeacher and ask to see if we have any updates on it. Every day I check to see if its' there.
Cee: Big huge hugs. I am so sorry to hear. FX for your next cycle.
MrsMcIrish: This still just infuriates me. IF is so hard on it's own without this other unnecessary BS. I hate that this happened to you. I really hope you come to a decision that brings you peace.
BabyVDM: Glad you guys are getting the hang of the shots. You will be a pro by the time you're done. FX for some rockstar embies from your cycle!
Me: I have my baseline ultrasound and bloodwork tomorrow morning. And strangely enough, I just got a random call from my previous RE's billing person just letting me know that my new insurance policy has a 10k IVF/meds lifetime max benefit. WTF? I've never had any IVF or meds coverage before and now I find out that I do when I'm knee deep in a DEmbryo FET. We've already paid for our $4030 cycle fees OOP, but I'm just hoping and praying that they can bill insurance and refund us some money. I have no idea if it's a possibility because of the fact its DEmbryo, but I'm waiting to hear back from my new RE's insurance person. I am crossing my fingers big time for this, we could really use the money.
QOTW: I don't know much about DE cycles since we went straight to DEmbryo. But I can speak a little about DEmbryos. Our donor found us privately on the BabyCenter embryo adoption forum. I know that there are a few other ways to go about receiving donor embryos though such as anonymous clinic programs, adoption agencies, and private sites like through www.miracleswaiting.org. Our adoption process has been way more positive and seamless than I ever dreamed it would be and on paper, the way we did it "should" have been the most complicated.

Hi, ladies!
On Monday, we had our psych eval and nurse consult. We were all gung-ho about frozen eggs until I learned that my insurance will not cover ANY part of the cycle because frozen eggs are still considered experimental. Ugh. They will cover a fresh donor egg cycle, but I need to clarify what that means exactly (just me or part of the donor's expenses too?). Also, my clinic has not had very promising results with the frozen egg bank they've been using so that turned us off too. I asked about My Egg Bank, but they will only work with affiliated clinics and mine isn't one of them.
So, we're considering fresh, but the wait time for fresh at my clinic is ONE year! We can't wait that long. So, now I'm researching agencies. $$$$$. Yikes. Though the agency donor pool is supposed to be much larger, it's slim pickins in my area for our criteria and I'm not too keen on paying even more $$$ to have a long distance donor. I've also seen some that I like who are not proven donors, and I'm not sure I want to roll the dice on them.
Our next step will be to determine what the bottom line is for our OOP. We'll have to do some kind of financing for the balance...but if the number is too outrageous, I honestly don't know. I guess I didn't realize there would still be so much OOP when I have comprehensive insurance. RE wants me to schedule an endometrial biopsy, saline sono and recurrent loss panel because of all of my losses.
JM - Lots of luck on Monday! Thinking of you.
Chicago - Congrats on a little girl!
Cee - so sorry! Hugs!
McIrish - I'm so, so sorry that this is another huge hurdle. Whatever decision you make will be the right one.
Happywife - It sounds like you are sooo close. No more of these crazy snafus!!
BabyVDM - wishing you tons of luck on your upcoming cycle! Crossing everything for you!
Liz - I really hope you can get your insurance sorted out and can get reimbursed. That's a lot of money!
