When will you transition out of the rock n play? Have you tried already?
DD loves sleeping at an incline... I have tried naps in her crib and they last no longer than 30 minutes, and leave her quite fussy. She normally naps for an hour at a time. I am dreading the night when I transition to her pack n play...
Re: Rock n Play Users
We made the move about a month ago and I put a pillow under the mattress so it had a slight incline to it. Seemed to help and I've since removed the pillow. Jack now sleeps in his crib 100% of the time.
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!
That is a great idea! Will have to try that for her next nap! Yay!
We weaned DS off the RnP since he was 1 month old.
From the very beginning, at bedtime, we would start him in the RnP (he falls asleep there better when he's fussy). After MOTN feeds when he's much more drowsy, we put him in the crib where he spends the rest of the night.
By 1 month, we started putting him in the crib from the very beginning, and we hadn't needed to go back to the RnP at all. In fact, we've already lent it to our friends (they have a 2w old newborn).

Our IVF miracle, Baby Boy M, arrived on 11/8/2012!
We transitioned our babies around 6/7 weeks.
I started by moving their RnPs into their room, then after 2-3 nights of that, I moved them into their cribs. Both of mine have reflux so we elevated one end of the crib with some bed risers so they'd still be on an incline. One downside to this is that they'll slide if you have a wiggle worm! We solved this issue by rolling up a receiving blanket into a U-shape and putting it under the fitted sheet to cup their little bottoms (almost like a swing) so they wouldn't slide. This also helps because they feel "something" hugging them a bit like the RnP does.
It was really a much easier transition than I anticipated. FWIW - I've got crappy nappers - lol. They'll only nap for 30-45 minutes in their cribs but they'll go 4-5 hours, sometimes even 7-8 hours, at night in them!
