Hi ladies, just wondering if this is normal and I'm just being crazy. So I get a phone call from "Portamedic" from a gentleman who I could barely understand (he was mumbling) saying he needed to schedule my physical exam to be done at my home. He had all my info (name, phone number, address) and I'm assuming he was calling due to the life insurance policy I had applied for through my husbands work although he couldn't really verify that (??) is it normal to have someone come to your home for a physical exam for life insurance? He said it was blood pressure, weight and questions...why can't I just go to my doctor?

Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I just had this happen. Though they were able to confirm it was for the life insurance I had just applied for. I was also given the option to go their office, have it at my office, or at home. I chose to go to their office. I had to give blood, pee in a cup, be weighed and they checked my pulse and blood pressure. I would ask if they have an office, if you are uncomfortable.
For my last 2 companies if you got life insurance that was 5x your salary or more, the insurance company sent someone to the house to weigh you, take a urine sample, take your vitals, and do a health questionnaire. Always they sent a same gender medic.
For spouses however, the insurance was a lot less coverage and no exam was required. I would call the insurance company directly and verify who they are sending.
Yup, my parents have had it done at their home several times.
