DH has had business dinners every night this week and frankly, I am tired of cooking for just me. I am tempted to eat Wolf Brand Chili from a can, just for the ease of it. (Actually, I don't even know where this can came from)
The only thing holding me back is the certainty of gas and indigestion later.
What are you eating tonight?
Re: What's for dinner?
You know what I do to dress up chili? I cook a potato in the microwave, put chili on top along with steamed broccoli. Sometimes I put chili on it, but it's so good you really don't need sour cream or butter.
I'm having bacon wrapped pork medalions, leftover roasted veg and salad.
We're having cheesy turkey meatloaf, baked potatoes and roasted broccoli. Yum!
I made a slow cooker chicken chili recipe that I pinned on Pinterest the other day. We are also having garlic bread and a garden salad with it.
The only issue is that my Crock Pot is far to small. DH has reported that some of it spilled over while we were at work. I am buying a larger Crock-Pot this weekend! Hope the chili is still OK and good too.
I will come clean up if you let me come over for dinner tonight!
Your meal sounds yummy!
This was the meal I had the night before I went into labor with Preston ;
Ooh. That reminds me I have a leftover baked potato in the fridge. Woot! I'll put that can o'chili back in the pantry!
I used to eat those all of the time, but I stopped since they didn't really fill me up.
Isn't that so funny how we remember this? I had the same dinner last night. Brings back bittersweet memories :-)
Spaghetti with Lemon Artichoke sauce (don't be too impressed, it's a pre-made William Sonoma sauce).
The best part, I put the water on and asked DH to throw the pasta in when he put Li's bottle in the sink... I hear him up there doing everything! I'm getting womb service!
We had this last night - but with rotini and not the William Sonoma Sauce. Liz this is a dish I bet even you could make! The sauce is literally just squeezing a lemon and whisking the juice with olive oil, basil, parmesan, and then throwing canned artichoke in.
Tonight I used our leftover pulled chicken from earlier this week to make Baked Pulled Chicken Taquitos.
