Pregnant after 35

The kid got her eviction date

After today's appointment I will be induced on President's day.  That could move up but probably will not.  I feel like she should have a patriotic outfit for her first day of life especially since she will be born in DC.

Re: The kid got her eviction date

  • February 18 sounds like a fine birthday! And that gives her another 4 weeks to bake, too. FX that you have smooth(er) sailing until then.

  • What a great birthday and a super idea for her going-home outfit! :)

  • That would be for her birthday outfit.  I have a rally sweet going home outfit.  My mom makes baby bonnets out of handkerchiefs.  She has a poem with them about how to cut the strings when the child gets married so that they can either carry it on their wedding day or give it to their bride for their wedding.  For mine, she used the handkerchief that I carried at my wedding.  She did have to be creative about hidding the mascara stains.  My friend is crocheting an outfit with booties and a blanket to match the bonnet.

I love everything about this post. Maybe your LO can wear a red-white-and-blue scarf home? LOL

  • I just had another thought: can you go in on that day wearing a t-shirt that reads, "you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here" ??

Cute idea!  I did not even think about what I am wearing to the hospital.  I got DH a shirt that says New Dad 2013 for delivery day.  I don't think that I can justify buying a shirt that goes only from my house to my car and then from the valet to L&D.  Now I am all stressed out about what to wear to the hospital.

Just wear comfortable clothes. Keep it simple!
