Grinding teeth

Anyone else's LO grind their teeth? L has been doing this off and on for a good week or two, and I don't know what to do to stop it (if there is anything I can do).

I noticed it a couple weeks ago when I brought her to look at a few houses. I could hear her grinding her teeth when I was holding her. I tried to stick my finger in her mouth to make sure she wasn't chewing on anything it sounded so loud.

Is there any rhyme or reason to why LO's do this?

    On and off. Worst. Sound. Ever.

    I try my best to not shudder and ignore and it seems like that helps a lot. He has gone at least two weeks without, thankfully.

    It is worse than nails on a chalkboard I swear! I will try to ignore it and see if that makes her stop.

    DS has done this in the past. We just ignored it and he stopped doing it on his own after a few weeks of driving us nuts.

    N did this for about a week. Every time I caught her starting to grind them I just popped something in her mouth. Typically a teething ring or sophie or some other chewy but sometimes a popsnack or something for her to much on. She doesn't really do it anymore thankfully. That has to be one of the worst noises!

    LBB had quit doing this, but JUST started again today. I keep telling him to stop - I don't know that that's particularly effective though.
