I posted this on the bf board, not realizing there was a board for allergies, was wondering if anyone could help me out:
After I feed my little one, if he let's some milk dribble onto his cheek it turns bright red where the milk was, is this a sign of an allergy? Or just clogging his little pores up?
Dh and I suspect he has an allergy anyways, but I just noticed the red cheeks this past week.
Anyone else experience this?
Re: allergy?
sounds like he's reacting to it. Any other symptoms? body rash? itchy? mucus?
Is it formula or BM?
No rash from what I can tell, but he does seem to be itchy. He'll rub his face a lot and if you hold him he'll rub his face into wherever he is on you, chest or shoulder.
Every once in a while there will be diapers that have a little bit of darker green color to it and mucusy. This morning was the worst, an entirely full diaper all runny and green
I would avoid dairy and soy for couple of weeks and see if it gets better. maybe even keep a food journal and when he reacts (to see what you ate).
Ok thank you! I'll do that. I'm going to cut out almonds too just in case.
Thanks!
