first of all- DONT throw away the seeds!!! Put them in a container, stick them in your fridge, and snack on them after a run. They're freaking delicious. They have a small pit on the inside but you can eat that to.
Other than that...I honestly have no idea. I love the seeds..haha

The part of a pom that you eat is the seed like red part. There are a couple Vids on YouTube on how to get them all out easier. Pom is super good for you and very Yummy
I just cut it in half, hold it over a bowl, and smack it with a wooden spoon so all the seeds fall out in the bowl. It's Nigella Lawson's method. Pomegranates are yummy! I little hard to eat, but definitely something I have to have around the holidays.
I just crack it in half and eat the seeds right out of the shell. Super easy to eat a pomegranate.

This is what I've always done too, I've never tried any of the methods above to get the seeds out but I will next time! I loooove pomegranates; DH says they look like Nintendo fruit lol.
To remove them easily, do it in a bowl filled with water. The pulp will rise to the top and the seeds will sink. So much easier and it won't stain like tapping it with a wooden spoon (I used to do it that way).

Re: How to eat a pomegranate?
Yep. I buy the packages of seeds only when DD has a craving for them. I am a cheater.

That's what I do. If I'm feeling lazy I make DH spoon them into a bowl for me though!
