Stupid question...I think?

Ok, so how do you know if your baby is gassy or his stomach is bothering him/her?

Sometimes my LO is cranky. Sometimes he wakes up several times at night and my gut tells me its his tummy. But how the heck do I know for sure?

How would I know what foods don't sit well with him?

I'm so confused!

    I know, you never ever know for certain with babies. 

    Usually, I'm almost 100% when my son has a tummy issue - because his cry is different (It's very shrill), and he'll usually wiggle/arch his back a little like he's trying to get the gas out - then a little while later he'll fart or spit up a little.
