Our latest funny episodes happened this weekend when I tried letting DS feed himself. One night I gave him a spoon and some mashed banana and avacodo in a bowl. I quickly found that I had to hold his free hand or he would immediately grab the loaded end of the spoon. With one hand held, he would launch the spoon toward his mouth but always land on his nose. He probably inhaled more than he really ate. The next night I peeled half a banana and sliced it long-ways. That was just a big ol' mess! He has so much fun with it, I am trying to get over my "eww-that's-squishy-gross!"-ness and let him work on feeding himself at least once a day. On a side note, I've never mopped my kitchen floor so often in my life!
GTKY: DS almost always laughs when the dog starts snuffling his feet. He also thinks it is hilarious when DH shakes his head back and forth and lets his lips flop around (like a bulldog). I gotta be honest, it is pretty funny to see a grown man acting that silly.
A sure fire laugh is if I sing the Bubble Guppies song.
Awww! I am jealous!
What's the Bubble Guppies song?
its a kids show on nick jr. She heard the theme song once and had a major happy dance moment! Now I sing it to her when she's fussy and she still goes nuts.
When I heard mama my tired brain exploded into a million tiny cartoon hearts!

Yes... please share this song!
DS loves to sing himself to sleep! It's the sweetest and cutest thing! If I'm holding him and he's sleepy he'll start to sing while he doses off, sometimes he likes to put his fingers in MY mouth while he is singing and falls asleep that way! I love the funny quirks kids have!
A sure fire way to make him laugh is to pretend to throw the ball to the dog while making a swoosh sound... cracks up every time!! He also laughs when I say Mama over and over at him, he laughs and the looks at me like "I'm not gonna say it!!"

Yesterday we were playing in bed with DD. I took a stuffed toucan she was playing with and made "poopy" sounds as I landed the toucan on DH's arm. DD started to make the noises with me. I laughed so hard!
A sure fire laugh is if I sing the Bubble Guppies song.
My DS did this last week as well...Melts my heart.."Ma Ma" "Mom!" Is what he says. My DH then says, "awww...he thinks I'm Mama. No, I'm daddy!" I'm like, "Hello, he's talking to me."
The other thing that makes me smile is DS little legs, he uses me and everything else as his foot rest...so funny.
Sure way to get LO to laugh....tickle him on his belly.
DD has this stuffed monkey and my DH would play with her and have the monkey "attack" her which she thought was hysterical and giggled up a storm . So because of that, every time she sees the monkey she scoots over to it, rolls over with it and bites it like its her prey. It cracks us up every time!
Mine almost never laughs. she smiles real big and breathes heavy but that's about as close as I get. I sure wish I could get her to crack up with a belly laugh.

It took DS a while to figure out how to laugh. For the longest, he would do this "heh...heh heh" almost like he was coughing. Even when we tickled him, he would just squirm and grin.

Do you laugh out loud? My DH and I don't and your LO never did until my friend with a super annoying laugh watched him for an afternoon. She spends a lot of time with us and always laughs out loud to him and now he belly laughs ALL the time at everything!
I hadn't really thought about that. I guess I don't laugh that much either. Maybe I need to find something funny to do. Now I'm wondering who I know that laughs the most... maybe they need to come visit.

My LO is hard to wind down, so yesterday I sang a lullaby to her and she started laughing... DH and I couldn't help but laugh too.
