  • I took weekly photos with my DD and could tell she dropped between 36 and 37 weeks from the way I looked. Other than that, I don't think you can really tell, though I've heard some women describe feeling more pressure in their hips.
  • I am also 30 weeks and feel like my baby has dropped a bit. My bump was very high and now it definitely seems lower than it was even just a week ago. Also, I feel a difference when I sit down. I'm more aware of my stomach.
  • You may feel lots of pressure down very low.  It felt to me like LO as going to just fall out. lol

  • I think my little guy dropped this past weekend. I had a ton of movement (unlike those I normally feel) on both Saturday and Sunday nights as I was trying to fall asleep. I started having some pain in my pubic area on Sunday night that became very intense on Monday morning. Every movement and step hurts quite a bit (just down there). I'm going to see my family doctor tomorrow regarding a couple of things so she should be able to tell if he's moved further down. She felt his head in a downward position at my last appointment two weeks ago. I do think he's shifted more though. I felt his hiccups near my hips this morning (rather than near by belly button) and the location of his movements have changed and are less random (likely because he has less space to move around, I guess). Also, usually when I'm leaning up against the sink to brush my teeth or wash dishes, I've had some light pain in my upper abdomen. Since Monday morning that pain seems to have disappeared. It makes me think that my little dude is not sitting as high up as he was before (but he's always been sitting quite low).

  • For me, I felt lots of pressure down low, and had to pee um....every 30 seconds. (You think you pee a lot now? Just wait!) My bump also looked a bit lower. It was harder to walk - it almost felt like the baby was going to fall out :)
  • I never knew with my first.

  • Everything hurts more like your hips, you really waddle, and you can't sit with your legs crossed!

  • I felt it...then there was a ton of room above my bump and I could breathe again.

    This exactly.

  • Lots of pressure, lots of lightening crotch, and it feels like the baby could fall out. Of course they won't!
  • All of a sudden my belly was on my lap when I sat down and I looked in the mirror and it was visibly lower. This was a week ago. With my first I started to feel pressure when I would go from standing from sitting.
