OMG Hot Flashes

Today will be day 5 on Lupron and I am having hot flashes like crazy!!! I was talking to my pharmacist about my insurance, so I thought I'd ask her if the hot flashes were common with Lupron and she just stated laughing. Told me is going to be a crazy couple of weeks to come and that the hot flashes are just the beginning.

Just thought I'd share. I have a whole new respect for women going through menopause.

If anyone else is having fun and fabulous side effects, feel free to share.

Married 8/14/10 * TTC since Aug 2010 * Met with RE in Feb 2012 * DH: low motility, low sperm count, elevated FSH * Me: Stage 4 Endometriosis * Laparotomy to remove endo in May 2012 * June 2012 - DH on Rx to hopefully increase count/quality * Re-tested sperm 10/22/12, count/quality have both dropped * IVF #1 w/ICSI * Transferred 2 beautiful embryos on 2/18/13 * Beta #1 3/1/13 - 636!!!     I'm there with ya!

    DH and I went shopping on Saturday and even in freezing cold weather I was sweating. When I walked into Sur la Table, I know the salesperson was looking at my forehead sweat and thinking "why in the world is this lady sweating?"  So embarrassing! :(

    I hope you feel better. Hot Flashes and headaches tend to subside once you start stimming or taking estrace.

     12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
     2/11/13 - DEmbryo FET #1 Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts. 
     2/16/13 - First BFP of my life @ 6dp5dt! EDD 10/30/13
     3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.

    6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!      
    9/12/13 - DEmbryo FET #2. Thawed and transferred two beautiful blasts
    9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14
     9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

    11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!
     11/23/13 - BFP @ 4dp6dt! EDD 8/7/13
    Beta #1 @ 13dp6dt - 522  Beta #2 @ 16dp6dt - 1373 
    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

    Snowflake baby is a girl! 
    Our beautiful Snowflake girl arrived on July 22, 2014!

    Thankfully the hot flashes havent caught up to me yet but holy moly the night sweats. I drinch the sheets every night. So gross. Hope it gets better for you.

    My personal fav... Squirting progestrone up the vag and it leaking out in clumps through out the day!! Ewwwww

    miscarried Sept 24th at 5 weeks 5 days
    Etopic  D&C and hysterscopy Nov 5 2013
    dx with pre genetic blood clotting dec 2013
    FET #2 Jan 31st  2014 
    Miscarried for a second time again at 5 weeks 5 days
    Currently fostering to adopt an amazing little 1 year old boy..P.J!
    FET#3  is Oct 29th 2014
    BFN on fet #3
    Last and FINAL FET coming JAN 28th 2015

    Oh yeah....hot flashes here too!  It's super weird for me because I'm ALWAYS cold so these new hot flashes are a crazy feeling.  Also look out for headaches and weird dreams. I've had only a few headaches but some on here have many ore. The dreams for me happen everytime I sleep. Some are really cool, others are not so good...lol. Oh and prepared to be tired.....I could sleep all day! Just know that it's all normal and will go away once you stop it.

    I haven't had any crazy dreams yet, at least non that I remember. The headaches kicked in on Monday and the tiredness is getting worse as the days go on. I go through phases where I get all sweaty at night, so that is nothing new to me. Oh the joys of IF...
