Thought I should reiterate my last post. DH and I found out that his morph is 2%.
RE said we could try IUi, but didn't seem very hopeful. He said IVF was a better option for us, but it just isn't an option financially for us, right now. Just curious if anyone else has the same MFI? Has anyone had any success with IUI's with low morph? I appreciate any feedback or advice. TIA!

TTC#2 for 12 months with low morph, low count
Re: Low morph/ IUI
We have 3% morph, 6 IUIs (3 medicated/3unmedicated), 1 IVF and 0 success.
For success stories you may want to head over to the Pregnant after IF board and post the question. I do that when I need some inspiration and hope.

My DH's SA results just came in, and I just got off the phone with our Nurse. She said that everything in his SA was within normal range, but his morphology was 3%. Is that extremely low? What is the upper range of normal? I'm so curious...honestly, I wasn't expecting this news so I am just curious. My nurse said not to worry since we are planning PGD to test for my familial disorder, we have to use ICSI anyway.

Starters, I'm sorry that you got a bad report from the RE. We also have low morph (1.5%) but all other numbers are great. When we met with our previous RE he said we needed to do IVF w/ ICSI and really discouraged us from doing IUI. We are now seeing another RE who is great and did not pressure us to go straight to IVF and we are planning on three IUI's with her.
As you can see from my siggy the first one was unsuccessful and we will try IUI #2 next month. We have no IF insurance so we are completely OOP and at this point we don't know if we are ready to spend that much money for IVF. Here's hoping IUI works for us!
It's a difficult decision to make but always know that you can change your mind and try a different treatment option.

**siggy warning**
DH has 2% morph and we got pregnant on our second IUI. Unfortunately I have funky tubes and it ended up being ectopic. It took the successful IUI to find that out. As long as his count is strong, an IUI wouldn't be a bad idea. Have your husband take a multivitamin and an antioxidant supplement. Centrum makes one that my husband took. It helped with the count so the morph was not quite so bad. Good luck with everything!
You asked the question that's been bouncing around in my head the last week. We found out last week that his morph is 2%, and we're still trying an IUI this cycle. I haven't heard IVF come from my RE yet, but I'm thinking its in my future.
He only had surgery in August, so I'm still hopeful his motility and morph will improve.
Good luck to you
