When someone asks you how far along you are, do you say weeks or months? I am so confused because every website you go to says 18 weeks is 5 months and to me that is not right calculations. Does anyone know how you count months? I usually tell people in weeks but, just wondering how months work.

The month thing is one of those debates that has and will always exist. A month doesn't = 4 weeks, but a lot of people calculate it that way.
I count backward from my EDD. I'm due June 20, so will be 9m on June 20. I will be four months on January 20, five months in Feb. 20, six months on March 20, etc.

Usually tell them my due date or weeks. I hate when I ask how old someone's child is and they tell me in months and not years (My son is 32 months old) like REALLY??
I hate doing the math LOL
Sounds like every ones does weeks.
I do weeks and then give a rough months. IE I'm 19 weeks which is about 4.5 month.

What websites are you going to that say 18 weeks is 5 months?
It depends, if it's a woman (especially one who has had a child within the last few years) I say weeks... if it's anyone else I either say x months or I'm due in June or both.
The whole week/month thing has always confused me too. 18wks being 5 months is correct, there's 4.3wks in every month I believe is how it works out.
By that math, 21.5 weeks is 5 months. 18 weeks is just over 4 months (17.2 weeks)
I have been using a chart like this one:
https://www.baby2see.com/pregnancylength.html
I use weeks when I tell people... with a roundup if it is midweek.
Here are a few websites that say 18 weeks is 5 months. justmommies.com calendar is really wacky. I didn't post that one.

This is exactly what I do. If it's a semi-new Dad I throw in weeks for them too. Plus most men are just asking because they don't know what else to ask so I don't really care too much if I didn't do the month math right. (not saying they are bad guys, they just don't seem to care as much about the details of pregnancy as other women do).
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
The first one says you are IN your fifth month. Just like I am IN my 29th year, but I am not actaully 29 yet and would never say I am just because I'm in my 29th year. So at 18 weeks you are still 4 months.
Second one is basing off the lunar calendar. I dunno about you but I go by the 12 month calendar. IMO if you try to pull the 'pregnancy is 10 months' card you are just looking for pity for having to be pregnany for 'sooo long.' (general you, not saying that is how you personally act!)
This or I give something general "About halfway" or "Just over 4 months."
I've said weeks, and the next question is always when are you due. When I tell my employer, I will just be giving the due date because otherwise it looks like I went home from my first day and said Honey, let's make a baby!
Our lil' diva: late like her Momma: 40 weeks 5 days!
