Disney Marathon ladies...how did it go?

Haven't seen any posts from either of you so hoping the race went well and you enjoyed your time in Disney.

Oh thanks for thinking of us!!

We had a GREAT time in Disney World. It's been hard being back to MN and the frozen tundra. The hubby and I had a great time all week just reconnecting with each other and literally living and breathing the Disney life. We didn't have a care in the world for 8 whole days and it was incredible.

I ran the half marathon on Saturday and while I didn't have my best time, I was only off of it by 11 minutes. I stopped to pee twice, threw up at mile 9.5 due to the heat finally kicking my butt, and I hadn't trained at all since my last half marathon in October. So I'm thankful that I crossed the finish line with a smile on my face and no sign of any residual injuries that I was worried about. I also got to run it with my running coach who was in town for the race from NYC, so that was a huge plus! I got in some quality friend time and coaching time!

If any of you run at all, I highly suggest doing a Run Disney event. It was an incredible experience running through the parks all lit up. The crowd support was amazing. They really do a high class event.

You are so sweet to be thinking of us! I finished, which was my goal the whole time, seeing as I really just started running less than 6 months ago. I ran a lot faster than my training time but there were a lot of walkers so we had to slow down to walk more than we anticipated. All in all, though, super fun! I'm already planning my next half marathon!
