**Question for those who had a breech baby**
I just had my 28 week appt yesterday, I had the glucose test, bloodwork, and an u/s to check for IUGR. (L's belly was under the 10th percentile, so they just wanted to check this LO, too)
The u/s revealed that this little dudette is breech. I was honestly shocked, because it was not something I had even thought about. Of course, I immediately thought "C-section", but my doctor said they wouldn't be concerned until 36 or 37 weeks. That would be when they would try to turn the baby (ouch!).. and then, if that didn't work, they would schedule a c/s.
I guess I'm just nervous that this little girl is going to stay in this position and not turn on her own.
Those of you who had a breech baby around this time (28 weeks), did your LO flip? Or did you end up with a c/s ?
Re: Question for those who had a breech baby
I had to have a repeat C-section, so it didn't really matter for me. My daughter didn't move. She was breach up until almost the end, then moved transverse (ouch, that's the worst). She then got stuck in transverse, and my OB had a tough time flipping her when he was delivering her.
I tried some of the spinning babies stuff, and it didn't work for me.
I'm no help, but just wanted to say how the hell are you at 28 weeks already?! That's crazy and exciting.
I hope baby girl turns herself around and makes things as easy as possible on you.

Both my boys tempted to wait until the last minute to turn.
Ds1 turned at 38 weeks ,one week before my scheduled c-section.
ds2 was somewhere between 36-37 weeks when he flipped
I was reading what you can try to do in order to get them to flip, some of it seemed a little out there.. but I think the one thing I might try is putting music or light where the baby's head *should* be and hope she "goes towards the light" haha
LCass, I agree... I can't believe I'm already this far along... I realized it yesterday when they scheduled my next appt in 2 weeks! It's nuts.
I'm trying to picture a full-term baby flipping around in my belly.. and it's freaking me out lol. How uncomfortable was that? I hope she flips before she gets too big, but obviously if she chooses to wait then that's something I'll have to prepare myself for.
This is where her head basically was yesterday. I know she is still small enough to wiggle around in there, so hopefully she moves down a little before she does get stuck underneath my ribs... I can only imagine that must've been hard to breathe!
DD was breech until 30 weeks and she turned on her own head down. Unfortunately , she was actually oblique.transverse at that point and remained that way. Her head was stuck in my hip and her body was across the top of my stomach so C section it was.
You still have tons of time for her to flip...the dr's don't make plans usually until 37 weeks with breech babies.
I was terribly uncomfortable, for sure. She was also frank breech, so her head and her feet were in my ribs. Fun times. All I can remember saying after coming out of my medicated haze was, "I can breeeeeaaaathe!"
I make small babies to begin with, both the boys ended up being over due and they were both 6 pounders.
To tell you the truth I am a small person so once I hit the 6-7 mark their movements are rather uncomfortable but entertaining. I cant tell you the exact moment either of them flipped but they were both very active the week of.
Half the time I had a loopsided belly, I took a few videos around that time but who knows if that was the exact moment.
I should add it wasn't painful at all

Music got my DD half-way there (transverse). Hopefully you won't have a stubborn LO !

Thanks I hope she's not as stubborn as her mommy
