Oh poop

What the heck is considered normal poo once LO starts solids?? I understand some foods (the Ps) make them go more easily, and what goes in may come out looking quite similar. But DS went from once every few days (I BF) to several times a day and I have no idea what would be considered diarrhea or not. I know DS isn't dehydrated, and he's generally happy other than the teething. But his poor bum has been getting red every day for about 2 weeks now. Ugh! Just when I start to get used to things, something new throws me for a loop!

    I bf as well. However we have the exact opposite effect. He used to go every day but since starting solids, he sometimes goes a few days without pooping..

    I EBF and make my babyfood. I think her poop looks a little like whatever it is that she ate...color and consistency.

     ETA: It could be the teething that is causing the loose poop and rash. While DD2 hasn't cut any teeth yet, I remember when DD1 was teething, she would get a diaper rash and her poop was a little off.

    I haven't changed anything in my diet, but i started doing Insanity consistently last week. I started him on oatmeal about a month ago, then purees on dec 31st. He has 1 to 2 TBS of oatmeal with BM, formula or water and 1 to 2 TBS of a veggie a day. We've done green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, squash so far, using the 4day rule. He has eczema but there haven't been any flare ups since starting the solids. His poo used to be peanut butterish, but that changed the past few weeks. I just don't know if it's from his bronchiolitis that he just got over, the teething which has amped up lately though still nothing showing, or the purees. He's been sucking a lot harder while nursing lately, too. That's a whole separate post though.
