NBR: so over the gun control talk

Im not usually one to care about what people say on FB, but I started blocking quite a few of my friends today.... they are flooding my newsfeed with post after post about "losing their guns". Unless Im totally lost we can still have guns, they are just being stricter with the regulations. Is that such a bad thing? I completely agree with the right to own a gun, we have one at home.... but come on people, we have to draw the line somewhere. It almost scares me that some of these friends are SO concerned about getting their hands on machine guns and having to submit to a background check!

    Without sharing any potentially debate-sparking thoughts of my own, I'll just say YES, I am sooooooo over it too!  [the obnoxious facebook rants, that is.  i'm not over the issue being discussed politically.  it's an important issue and i'm glad it's getting some attention in that respect.]

    I know, and the debate is getting beyond ridiculous. Some far righters on my feed are starting to get all conspiracy-theorist and are saying the president personally set up what happened in Newtown to get gun control policy passed. I mean, who in their right mind would actually think anyone would do that??

    I know that really bothers me :(  I have heard that the man who took in 6 of the kids (they were dropped off in his driveway by the fire station after the shooting) is being harrassed. Its just unbelievable that anyone would be ballsy enough to bother him or anyone dealing with that situation

    THIS! It is taking great restraint not to comment on these links.. The lengths people will go to in order to discredit "someone"
