Hi ladies, During my hysteroscopy today my RE mentioned my uterus had a posterior tilt. He really didn't mention that that could be a reason for my IF issues and really just mentioned it and moved on. I researched a little online but couldn't find much. Have any of you experienced that or have anything to add? TIA

Re: posterior uterus
Hey there. I think I have the same thing - I have been told that I have a tilted uterus, or one that goes towards the back instead of the front, like most women's do. Anyway, it has nothing to do with my IF, just was told that if I ever do get pregnant that I won't carry as much in the front.
FYI - I don't know if it will be the same for you, but it made IUIs and ETs a little more challenging. Like if they normally ask you to come with a full bladder they'll actually want your bladder to be empty in our case.

I had a tilted uterus, and also had adhesions (scar tissue that can be common in tilted uteruses, they are known to block the fallopian tubes). The doctors told me that it wasn's an issue. But after a few years of trying to conceive unsuccessfully, I went tried the 'holistic route'. I did Maya Abdominal Therapy and got pregnant after a few months. The Practitioner of the stomach/pelvic massage therapy encouraged my tilted uterus to its proper position. My painful periods vanished and I felt great. Not to mention the relaxation of the massage
It worked for me
good luck
Hi! I have normally an anteverted uterus but in the middle of my first preg (that unfortunately ended in m/c...) my uterus flipped backwards. The doctor also just mentioned it and moved on. After my d&c it just flipped to the front again. I guess I should have joined the IF circus
I have read a lot of stuff that can cause IF but tilted uterus is not one of them. Not at least if all you have is a tilted uterus and nothing else.
I'm happy you got your BFP, but there is no scientific evidence to support that massages (which ever they are) cure IF. The mind is a very powerful organ and so is the placebo effect. I've lived in China and go there regularly, I've done countless TCM massages and all I get for having them massage my pinkie toe to help with IF is a lot of tickles. I do it because it feels good and relaxes me, not because I even remotely believe it will get me pregnant. IVF and patience will take care of that, eventually.
