Hey ladies! I have a probably-stupid question about buying maternity clothes.
I keep reading posts about people starting to buy maternity clothes (like the great sale at Babies-r-us someone posted about earlier. How do you know what size to buy?
I'm 35 and have been an 8/10 in most things for years. On top, I've always been a small B cup, but I'm already pushing the top of B. I hope to be careful about weight gain, but I have no idea how to estimate what size pants or top I'd need in two months.
I'd love to join in the fun and take advantage of some of these deals. Advice?
Re: First Timer Question re: Maternity Clothes
I will say definitely invest in nice maternity jeans I got a pair of mavi and citizen of humanity bc it's worth it ha that is my opinion and then you can just later with stretchy tees and tanks, etc. plus it will be summer when you are huge so sun dresses and maxi dresse will work well I am psyched for this part! My last pg it was winter when I was huge and that was a PITA
Our little lightbulb is on the way!

I actually found that I needed to size down in maternity pants with my last pregnancy. I think they make them with a little room to grow in the hips and thighs, so my pre-pg size just looked baggy. If its your first I would wait till you need them and then go try some on before buying.
I bought everything the first time around in my pre-pregnancy size. That worked perfect for me.
I highly suggest Kohls. I got tons of cute things there for a great price during a big sale.

I gained 25lbs with DS1, and for me, pants were either my pre-pregnancy size or 1 size down, tops/dresses were my pre-pregnancy size or 1 size up (the boobs grew a lot!).
Ditto PPs about not going too crazy- I thought the Gillian O'Malley bras at Target were really reasonably priced and would buy 2 each time I went up a size. I went from C to D to DD to F back to D with DS.
