It seems as though DS's appetite is increasing. So I'm wondering should I increase his formula amount or increase his food amount? Currently he gets three 4 ounce purees a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) followed shortly thereafter with a 6 ounce bottle. He also gets 2 additional 6 ounce bottles (one between breakfast and lunch and another between lunch and dinner).
Re: increased appetite
It sounds like he already gets 30oz which is on the high side (according to my pediatrician). When you are feeding him his purees, does he seem to want more when you're done? I prepare their meals but if I see they eat it fairly fast I always keep some extra ready and just take my cues from them. I personally wouldn't increase the milk but their food.
Also, maybe you can add snacks between breakfast and lunch and also between lunch and dinner. Maybe that would help.
