Hey breezy! The only thing I did this weekend is work on my animal rescue stuff. We were selected by a Petsmart in NJ to be their official local rescue so we had a big party there and brought over some of our cats to stay in the store for showcasing.
We also are in the middle of planning another fundraiser that will be a breakfast so I had to work on that as well.
I am the director of events and fundraising for our animal rescue as well as the director for the second chance fosters so my weekends are usually tied up with that.

What a great thing to do! All our cats (3) are rescues and so we're all my pets growing up. Hope it goes well. Are you dealing with cats or dogs or both?

Not that much is new with me. I'm thinking of taking a class (something artsy or craftsy) for fun someplace, just to do something.

It's supposed to be REALLY cold here this next week, so I am not looking forward to that - but I do like winter.

Trying a new black bean soup recipe tonight with my new food processor! Pretty exciting stuff.

Thanks for posting. I was starting to hear echos in here.

I spent the weekend in bed sicker than a dog with a cold and sinus congestion from hell. I'm finally feeling better!

I'm supposed to go to Vegas for work in April, but if I'm KU, honestly I really don't want to. I guess if I'm not KU, it will be something to look forward to? DH has been banking some frequent flier miles so maybe if our FET does work we will do a babymoon somewhere.

Our current house project is to figure out why we have seen like four rats in our backyard! EEK! DH is project manager on that one.

My orange kitty in my siggy came from a rescue that brought him to Petsmart:-) we brought him home one year ago yesterday! My grey/white guy came from a rescue at Petco:-) I also adopted my b&w cat directly from the shelter when he was 3 yrs old.

We are going to put our house on the market in the spring so we have paint touch-up projects and stuff like that. Yuck.

Nothing exciting this last weekend. I bought a new printer/copier/scanner and set it up. I can now print from my iPad.

Hi Bzeety! Thanks for posting. I am desperately making an effort to come out of my shell but I seem to have a long term case of the blahs

This weekend I really had to channel my ?life is fabulous? persona (the alter ego that faces the world and fools everyone). We elected to host a dinner party which I decided I was up for, for some insane reason... then the food restrictions started floodong in. I am known for my sauces and french cooking, so finding out several guests had lactose intolerances threw me into a neurotic mess. Anyway, I succeeded in assembling a menu that was edible and more importantly managed to squelch the broiling to desire to have Desoeon fueled outbursts throughout the night... Overall a success!

Nothing fun coming up for us, just our trip to CA for our DE cycle.

In regards to the house; I have a huge list of reno and decorating projects on the list but they are all on hold until the outcome of our cycle is determined.

That is wonderful! My husband and I are huge animal lovers... We would love to get more involved with things like this one day.

I am having a nervous breakdown, I hate everyone except all of you and no I am not joking! I feel incredible rage today and I can't get a grip especially when everyone keeps telling me what I can't do. Well FYI when someone tells me I can't usually I can and do. I got "fired" from a gym because I am too "complicated" when I am less "complicated" I can possibly come back, well I will never be less complicated so I guess I will just roll up in a ball and die now. This is the third time this week someone has used my health issues against me and one was for a job the other was my pcp.

Worked and was in Bed all sat night and sunday sick like a dog.

Does anyone have any trips coming up or fun things to look forward to this spring? I have nothing to look forward to unless I get pg and we go to Mexico again.

Now I am going in my bed so that I don't torture the world anymore until tomorrow. Please pray I wake up in a better mood.

I'm better today than yesterday, but still kind of lost feeling. Last weekend I didn't do anything super exciting. I did get a Ninja blender system (the one on the infomercial, except I bought it at BB&B).

As for trips, MH and I are going with one of his friends and his wife plus 2 other couples I've met, but don't really know to CO to go skiing. I'm not really excited about it for the following reasons:

1. I don't ski. So what are the non-skiers going to do? I know this goes against the laws of femininity, but I'm not a social shopper. The idea of spending hours on end wandering through shops sounds awful.

2. I don't know these people well enough to want to spend my vacation time with them.

3. We are sharing a cabin and that means I have to stay decent at all times. I like to be "ugly comfortable"!

DH is really excited though, so I decided to take one for the team.

I'm going back and forth on painting my bathroom. Growing up our walls were one color throughout the whole house, so I'm having a hard time deciding if I'm using too much color throughout the house or not enough. I don't want my house to look like a crayola box, but I feel like it needs some extra oomph. All my walls are one color, except the kitchen walls are a dark green and the wall my fireplace is on in my living room is an accent wall and is a few shades darker than the rest of the walls.

We deal with all kinds of animals (cats, dogs, horses, donkeys, AL-pacca's - yes we have one of those). We specialize in harder to place animals like older, sick, behavioral issues. We try not to do the puppies and kittens because everyone rescues them so our focus is on the left behind one's.

It is people like you that keep us going! I can't tell you how many adoption events we have done that we were able to find great homes for the furbabies.

Hi DP. I am glad to hear you're feeling kind of better, but I am sorry you're still feeling lost.

Congrats on the blender. Buying things like that always perks up my mood, I'm very into retail therapy and houseware stuff especially cheers me up.

I hope you have fun on your trip, despite all of the points going against you.

And you sound like me - my house growing up was all white and beige. Most of my house now is full of color. Even our game room is a dark basalt purple with silver accents! Color is good.

Bed, Bath & Beyond is my heaven. lol I ended up getting almost $200 worth in gift cards there for Christmas and I've really enjoyed spending it! It's so funny to see other girls posting pics of their new Coach purses on FB and I'm like look at my new blender! Geeked

I'm going to try to make an effort to have fun and not stay in my shell the whole time.

After I posted that I started thinking about my original idea to paint the wall the tub is on a dark blue (same color as towels). MH said dark blue wouldn't look good, so I started thinking about doing a faux finish, but I'm worried it'll end up looking like a bad 90's faux finish. I'll probably just have to paint the wall blue and once DH sees it he'll be ok with it. I think he has a hard time picturing it. Dark purple and silver sounds pretty!
