Reusable Pouches

Reusable Pouches

Am I just making this up or has someone mention having a pouch they can refill and reuse? N is finally getting the hang of eating them unassisted and not destroying her outfit. They are so convenient! They're kind of pricey though so it would be great to have one to refill and reuse. If I'm just imaging that this exists pay me no mind but if they are indeed real does anyone have a link to one?!? Or where you got it from?

Re: Reusable Pouches

  • Ours are Little Green pouch. I ordered online. They work well, the seal is really strong so no worries about spillage.

  • I've never used them, but I have seen them for sale on cloth diaper sites, baby steals, and zulily.
  • I bought an Infantino pouch maker at someone else's recommendation.  The pouches aren't reusable, but the cost is less than always buying pouches.  The machine itself was around $30 and comes with some pouches.  A box of 50 pouches is around $14.  I know the organic pouches at the store are over $2, so I felt it was worth buying the machine.

  • I just started giving A pouches as a snack as opposed to always crackers, etc.  I have a question, how long do kids usually take food from them?  I just don't want to buy a bunch of stuff and then she's over it.  Which I know could happen regardless of age. Just wondering if you all plan on using pouches for a while.

  • I saw one at Walmart last night for 8, but I don't remember the brand.

  • She loves the pouches, and since they're super easy to carry around, I will use them as long as she likes them.  Adults can also use pouches as a snack supplement, so even when she doesn't want them anymore, you can always use them for a snack.  It's a little messy, but I feel it's worth it, because I have reign over what goes in each pouch.  They can be frozen for up to 2 months and refrigerator for 2 days.

  • Thanks guys! I will look into those recommendations. I have been buying Earth's Best Organic pouches which are around $1.50 each. It isn't terrible but I am sure I could easily puree and fill my own for much cheaper. N just loves them and I plan to let her enjoy them as long as she desires. It's just so easy to grab one for an outing because I know she'll enjoy it and it's just fruits and veggies. Thanks again.

I'm going to for a while yet. Sometimes when her gums are hurting really bad, it's the only thing I can get her to eat.

I know adults who still use them for applesauce and stuff when they go hiking.

Ya, I've eaten them...they are tasty.  I never thought about just giving A one to suck on until I saw the little ladies at the museum enjoying.  I gave her one on Sunday for a snack and she was THRILLED..ha-ha needless to say she's a fan.

  • If you look in the regular snack section they sell them marketed to older kids but they're the same thing. E eats them more than Lo because he's a texture kid and I can throw them in his lunch or in the car and they don't have to be refrigerated.

Are you saying that A never had a pouch? I'm glad we could convert you to a pouch eater!
