My 7 month old cries every time I put her down unless i'm sitting right next to her, I can't hold her all day long. Do I let her cry and get things done or suck it up and hold her?
have you tried wearing her? DD loves the Ergo, and it lets me get a lot of stuff done while still holding her. We found ours used for a good price on craigslist
I feel your pain. I try to keep DS near me when I do chores. Like if I need to fold laundry, I put him on the bed and let him "fold" the socks. He likes playing with them. If I'm doing dishes I put him in the jumperoo next to me. I'll talk or sing to him if he starts fussing.
DH started grad school in the fall and has been taking care of DD the majority of the time (our parents fill in for a few hours here and there when he is in class and I am at work), and he mentioned the exact same thing.
DD was so much easier to take care of in the fall and now this. DH is a little nervous about being able to get school work done and take care of DD. Hopefully it will work itself out soon.
I cant seem to do squat when Im wearing my LO- not that he even likes it any more, but I know that works for alot of people
The excersaucer buys us time. If he does cry, sometimes I wave and dance and do crazy stuff while Im doing whatever and that gives me a few minutes too. Im usually all about not letting babies cry, but maybe you could give it a few minutes and she if she will be entertained by something else?
LO loves the bath so it wouldnt be beyond me to stick him on one side of the sink and do dishes in the other side if it was getting bad. I get creative and use DH alot.
I've learned to do a lot of things one handed But we have a swing, a jumper and an exersaucer in the living room (which I walk through constantly when I'm doing pretty much anything) and she's usually good with that. I'd try the wearing and see if that helps?

I do the same and it helps. However now she is teething so even that doesn't work right now.
I know how you feel. It seems like lo will be completely fine but the second I try to get some school work done he starts crying! I found that I have to get as much done as possible when he's napping or I have no chance _

Ditto the wearing. Also, it's probably just a phase. Kids usually start to develop separation anxiety around this age. Hopefully it'll pass quickly for you.
