I saw a post last week mentioning that target brand and gerber clothes tend to shrink in the dryer. Has anyone had experience with Kohls jumping bean clothes? How do they hold up?
They shrink as well and I dry everything on low. The only ones that hold their size for me are the more expensive brands like BabyGap, Carter's, Gymboree, etc...
June 2010-April 2012: Lots of trying, chlomid, gonal-f, with triggers, without, IUI's and tons of BFNs
May2012: Letrozole + IUI = BFP!!!! Due 2/10/13
The only brand I had consistent problems with is Gerber, and that was partially b/c the sizing is weird and partially b/c they shrink.
Because I am not buying clothes to last (babies wear them for 3 - 4 months, generally) I am not concerned about awesome quality in the littler sizes. I am more apt to buy better things for my 2 year old toddler than for a newborn baby. Plus, the messes they make of their clothes in the first year, between poopy accidents, larning to eat food, drooling, vomiting, etc.
Son #1 is already 2!
Not too much longer until Son No.2 arrives!
Jumping Beans shrinks, and I think it tends to run small. Circo also runs smaller. Even Gymboree I've found shrinks a ton. The cotton shirts I have saved from DD1 are at least an inch shorter than the same size in a new shirt.

I have never noticed jumping beans shrinking. Maybe because DD doesn't wear them until I wash them?
This. DS wears mostly Carter's stuff but the JB things he has fit about the same, honestly. I have to hem his pants because he wears 3T at 21 months... so I'm usually hoping pants shrink slightly, at least length-wise.
We have a lot of Jumping Beans from grandparents, and I think that overall, they've held up really well. For us, they have a small percentage of shrinkage, but nothing that is dramatic enough for me to notice.
We wash our clothes in cold and dry on low heat, so maybe that makes a difference; I don't know.
Jumping Beans runs very small and shrinks in the first wash, even washed in cold water and dried on low. I like the clothes and find that they last fine for the limited time she wears them, I just always buy a size up.
I find that Gap and ON run small, too. Or at least lots of their clothes are built for tall, skinny kids. DD is finally losing her belly so they're fitting her better.
I've found Carter's to be the most accurate to the weight and length listed on the label.
