Recommend a sleep training book

DS is 5 mos old today. I may wait until he is 6 mos old to try sleep training. I just wanted to get a jump start because DS is going through the 4 mo wakeful, and it's killing me!! Which book would you recommend? The No Cry Sleep Solution? Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems?
I don't mind a little CIO, but only to a certain extent.

I got sleep easy solution and its really worked. I liked the book it was supportive and understanding.

Ferber's "Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems" made a lot of sense to me. Skip right to the chapter on sleep associations if you don't want to read the whole thing.

I like No Cry Sleep Solution. It's not a fast fix, but it's a lot gentler than any kind of CIO. I did very limited CIO for DD--starting at 5 minutes and working up to 15--but it doesn't work on DS. He needs something gentler.

We did CIO with DS. Three nights, all done. We followed, and still follow "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child." DD never needed any training. That kid's an angel!

The Sleep Easy Solution! I was so skeptic, but it worked like a charm. DD went from co-sleeping in a RNP to crib sleeping and we weaned night feedings all at the same time. I was so scared, but we followed this plan and it worked sooo good. She is now sleeping in her crib, all the way through the night! There is also a DVD, much quicker to learn. I got both, but didn't use the book much.
