  this- long torso kids can outgrow the height limit before they reach the stated height.

  We had that carseat fr DS1 and he was 28 inches at 6 month. We mved him around 9 months when his head was getting close to the top of the carseat.

  He didn't hit 30lbs until he was 2 years old - so I'd definitely pay attention to the height limits before the weight limits for my kids.
