TTC After a Loss

Cover Line Calculation Question

Why hello, ladies.

There was some talk yesterday about the different methods that FF uses to calculate that beautiful cover line.  My understanding is that the different methods differ with respect to the degree that they rely on pre-O temps.

I was wondering which method I should use this month because, due to the flu, I had to discard 5 temps in a row.  Today is CD 15 and I finally got a reasonable temp this morning.  I think I'm on the mend.

Which method do you think would be appropriate for me this month?

TIA!

Re: Cover Line Calculation Question

  • Thanks so much, MD.  I'll play around with the fever/FAM settings :)

If you mark them as "fever" instead of discard, FAM might work out, but because you discarded them, you likely won't have the 6 temps prior to O for FAM to calculate a coverline so it might be messed up.  But then again, with being sick, ovulation may be delayed (but it might not).

I'd stick to advanced if you're regularly checking CM and/or CP and/or if you're using OPKs because it will take all other things into consideration.

    This. Good luck!
