For those with a jogger, is the front wheel fixed or swivel? What do you recomend? I read fixed is safer. I want to get one, off CL, and ill likely not be doing too much actual running, so I'm sure there wont be "high speeds" involved like I read in reviews on the differences saying fixed is better.
Re: jogging stroller
I kept mine locked because that's what I was "supposed" to do and I hate it. It makes it so hard to turn corners!
And we're talking C25K at slow speeds here ... I'm not like a for real runner or anything.
I have a jogging stroller...that I haven't used as much as I should. It has a fixed wheel. No option to swivel.
It is pretty hard core and great to run with, but not too versatile. It is hard to turn, so I will use it for walks since I don't need to turn much, but I won't use it for anything else. If I didn't plan on ever running with it, I wouldn't have chosen this stroller.
Mine is also not designed to be folded up. It will fold, but you have to remove a wheel to do so. If you plan on taking it places, then this would be another thing to check.
Ive already dealt with a hard to turn stroller and if it frustrates me I wont even use it.
I prefer my front wheel with the swiveling option. The baby is heavy enough at this age that ease of turning is important. And with a swiveling wheel, you can still lock it sometimes if you turn out to be a super marathon runner someday
FWIW, all double joggers should have the swivel...two babies are too heavy to turn!
