Double Stroller- Joovy Caboose

Anyone have a Joovy Caboose tandem stroller or any experience with one? We "test drove" one this weekend and so far its the front runner for double strollers we are considering. We have small vehicles with limited trunk space and it seems any side by side stroller would not fit in our trunk so we need to go the tandem route. I really like the sit and stand option for DS since he fights the stroller about half the time anyway, and this seating option gives him more freedom. When we tried it out he LOVED sitting on the back bench and would get upset every time we stopped moving. He would have rode around the store like that for hours if we let him!

Re: Double Stroller- Joovy Caboose

  • We have it, but rarely ever used it. To be fair, though, it was because my DS was much older and I just felt like I needed to have a double for long trips (zoo, Disney, etc.)

That being said we have never had any issue with it. When DD was in her infant carseat it cut into his space quite a bit, but him sitting/standing was still doable. The basket underneath is tiny and a real pain to get to, but not a deal breaker for me. It folds up flat enough, but is still really long if you have the carseat adapter on the front, so just keep that in mind. We have a crossover SUV and it was a tight fit. Overall, I still am really happy with it and would buy it again... if my little ones were closer in age!

  • I have this stroller and started using it when DD#2 was 5 months old. Used it the first time while traveling out of state it was a huge life saver. My oldest DD (3 year old) loves this stroller. She likes to stand on the back, sits when she's tired. I liked this stroller because it's compatible with my infant carseat (chicco). Now the stroller is heavy, but it does fold up pretty small and it fits behind my third row in my Honda Pilot with no problems.

My only cons were that it doesn't come with an organizer (I had to order this from Amazon) and the storage space below doesn't hold a hard case lunch box, but those are just very minor.

    Good luck with your decision.
