Next month I'll be getting into my 3rd trimster and so far my doctor hasn't said a word about when my due date may be. I don't know if this is because the due date is always subject to change or what but if my calculations are correct I'll be due sometime late april to early may and now its kinda driving me crazy especially with everyone asking when I am due lol.
Re: When did your doctor give you a due date?
They told me at my 1st appointment too.
They base your due date (at least in the begining) by the 1st day or your last period. I'm guessing thats how you got your ticker to say due May 4th. I think it would maybe change based on u/s measurements, but they should have asked you the 1st day of your last period and then calculated it that way at your 1st (or maybe second) appointment.

At my first appointment, they gave me a due date based off my LMP (last monthly period). At the dating ultrasound, it was adjusted slightly.
No offense, but has it not occurred to you to ask your doctor this question?

I was told this also!
All of this!
Calling the office seems a bit rash, but I would ask next time you went in. The dates given based on ultrasound are actually MORE accurate the earlier you are in pregnancy (thus why most dating ultrasounds are done ASAP). Your later ultrasounds may vary widely. Earlier on, genetics do not play a large role in baby's development, and all babies are roughly on the same ruler, thus the measurements' being more accurate. My guess is that your u/s lined up with your LMP, so they didn't mention it.

I got my due date 3 minutes in to my first appointment
How far along are you? A pregnancy is 40 weeks long.
This, my dr was pretty quiet about my due date, she wrote it down and mumbled and that was how I knew. She based it off of my LMP even though I was measuring about 6 days ahead.
A nurse gave me a due date when I went in to confirm the pregnancy, but it was just an "estimate". I haven't been given a firm due date yet but I know what night I conceived so I was able to figure it out on my own.
Of course, your baby has only a 2% chance or something like that of being born on the due date. So instead of focusing on that date I just figured out the time span that I'm going to be 38 weeks to 42 weeks and circled that on the calendar. Anything before that we would consider "early" and anything after that "too late". Anything within that timeline and I'm happy!

I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.
I was given a due date based on LMP when I called to schedule prenatal care.
Just ask at your next appointment, they obviously have a date for you as they are scheduling time specific tests and such.
Not every doc does a dating ultrasound at the first appointment. My OB only does one ultrasound, between 16-20 weeks. I know the date of my last period, so I go with that, but I haven't been given an official date yet either (by my estimates I'm 14w3d). I'm pretty sure that things will be much more official, date-wise, after my next appointment in early February (when I FINALLY get my ultrasound!).
I haven't asked for anything more specific, mainly because I do know when my last period was. If you're not sure of that, seriously just ask. That's what they're there for!
I got mine before my first appt. When I called to schedule they gave me a due date then. Because the Dr doesn't see anyone until they are 10 weeks. When I first went in they confirmed my due date at my ultrasound, and reconfirm it with every consequent ultrasound.
I agree with PPs, how can you go so long not knowing your due date and not bringing it up? I suggest you definitely bring it up at your next appt.
