Re: MoMs to be check in!
Update: 23w3d now, so V-Day is Friday. Last Thursday we had an u/s for the twin fetal growth study we're participating in. These are performed at my hospital, but not by my OB's office. Baby A's choroid plexus cysts have resolved on their own, but Baby B's kidneys were slightly more dilated than considered normal (this wasn't noted at our A/S last month). So now we keep an eye on that.
Also, my cervix was 4.2 cm at my A/S but was only 3 cm on Thursday (three weeks later) so I'm concerned about that, although the sonographer told me not to worry. Plus I had what felt like BH very frequently on Saturday so I was really nervous all weekend. Had a little bit of a meltdown Sat. night thinking I'd never make it to full term. Spoke to a nurse at our Breastfeeding Multiples class yesterday afternoon and now feel a little better. I see my OB on Friday and will discuss the u/s results with her then (GTT is also Friday). I wanted to ask her about my cervix this past Friday, but she never returned my call.
QOTW: I planned to eat super healthy during my pregnancy, so I was very surprised around week 7 to develop an aversion to chicken, fish, vegetables and generally all things healthy. I didn't have much m/s though, and it quickly passed. No real cravings yet, although I've been eating tons of fruit throughout my pg and I went through a pretty serious bagels and cream cheese phase a while ago.
Update: I'm almost in the 2nd Tri - whohoo! I'm so ready to move beyond the nausea, but now that is being replaced with constant headaches. Next u/s is tomorrow for my NT scan - a little nervous, but also so excited to see the babies again
QOTW: I've been eating a lot of tacos - like a lot of tacos. I think I'm completely sick of tacos now.

Update: Bed rest
We are 34weeks and 4 days!!!! If you would have asked me last week, I did not think we were going to make it 35 weeks. I know that is still a few days away but I am feeling much more positive each day. Best rest sucks completely but I am doing alright with it. I completely understand the need for it and I can see the positive changes in my BP, swelling and overall health from it. It just stinks I see my SO stressed and trying to handle everything household wise. She is amazing however and takes my bed rest so seriously.
She called in the troops this weekend to get my office converted to a spare bedroom so when the boys come home our help and family have a place to sleep. Her family was here most of the weekend and I can say when the boys come we are ready. All necessary items are together, installed and clean and I can see her walk a little straighter knowing those things are done. I feel truly blessed to have amazing family support on both sides.
My bp has been very stable and I have actually lost some weight. I was worried about this at first but the doctor on Friday said it was water weight loss as I am not nearly as swollen due to bed rest. He said it was actually a sign bed rest was doing it's job. As of right now our goal is to make it to the 25th as this is our scheduled c-section (about 11 days!!!!) and if we arrive at the 24th still doing well and the boys are doing well he will allow us to push our c-section back to the 31st to get to 37 weeks (so at most 17 days)! That was the best news ever. I had given up hope of getting to full term but now I am determined (within reason and as long as its safe).
QOTW: Pre pregnancy I did not eat very much red meat. I have never been a fan and kept to things like chicken, turkey, pork etc. At the beginning of my pregnancy my m/s was so bad I could not eat any meat. I lived on salads with boiled eggs, nuts, and beans or protein (which was nothing new to me just no meat). Once we hit about 16 weeks food aversions were pretty much gone but we found I had developed a thing for red meat. I have probably only had white meat about 10 times this who pregnancy and the rest has been red meat. Its very weird to me as I will actually crave a steak which is something I hadn't eaten in over 10 years. I also did not like vinegar based stuff prior but now I love the salty brine on things like pickles etc.
Now as the boys have dropped I find I eat all the time and it's normally whatever I can get my hands on. I haven't felt full in over a week.

Jacob and Samuel born 1/29/13 at 36 weeks.
Update: I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow and have a growth ultrasound tomorrow afternoon. I've been super sore and exhausted lately, like I go out and run errands for an hour and am completely exhausted the rest of the day.
QOTW: I was surprised to have any cravings this time around. I never really had them with either of my boys, and then I spent like 6-8 weeks this time around eating McDonald's fries like it was my job.
Update: Went to the doctor last week, babies are doing great and growing as they should be. Cervix is still 4cm and I've gained 7lbs. My bp was really high, so I'm having it re-checked next week.
QOTW: I crave salad's a lot! I am guessing it's really vegetables that I want, but I think it must be the oddest craving.
Hi! You can add me to the list up top. I'm due July 5 so they'll most likely be June babies.
I have my 15 1/2 week appt. tomorrow. I'm kind of bummed because the doc doesn't plan on doing an ultrasound. I was hoping to see if they could determine their genders of course even though it's too early to shop.
I'm feeling great but worried that I've only gained 6 lbs and Dr. Luke's book say we should gain ~25 by 25 weeks so I'll be talking to my doctor about it this week.
QOTW: I've been craving my chocolate carnation instant breakfast and brown cinnamon/sugar pop-tarts.
Hope everyone is well.

All Alers Welcome!
Not much of an update to share. Just excited for my regular appointment with the OB this week. I'm secretly hoping that the babies hide from the doppler again so I can see them on ultrasound.
QOTW: I'm also aversions to chicken and fish which was pretty much what I lived on pre-pregnancy. Now, I basically want all carbs all the time. Morning sickness hasn't helped. I'm hoping I might eat more normal during the 2nd tri.
NT scan was great. Waiting on blood work. Both babies had great measurements and no reason to be concerned at this point. Heard the heartbeats at my OB appointment this morning. Not much to report at this time.
QOTW: I was wicked hardcore craving homemade tacos last Monday. Finally made some yesterday. So worth it!
Update: I'm on modified bedrest now due to my very irritable uterus and shortening of my cervix in the past week. My cervix is still at 2.8 though, so that's good. DH has been great, doing all the housework and getting the fridge stocked so I can make quick meals while he's at work. I'm on Procardia as needed for contractions, though I usually get them at night.
QOTW: I can't stand chicken or broccoli, which I normally love. At the beginning of the pregnancy I was all about Chef Boyardee ravioli. Stupid m/s, LOL.

Update: 32w, no bed rest, still chasing my toddler and feeling really good today at least. I have really good days and really crappy ones. Got all their clothes washed and nursery ready! My c/s is scheduled for February 25 (38w) if I make it that far but praying to make it at least 3-4 more weeks. My son's 2nd birthday is February 26 and we are having his party in 3 weeks so of course I want to still be pg then! :
I am typical OWT about cravings. With DS, I wanted spicy adn salty, this time with the girls, all I want is peanut butter and chocolate!

You can add me as well! Twin boys. Due date technically 4/20, but my doc is expetcing Mid-March to Mid-April.
26w2d. So far feeling exhausted, and trying to rest when I can. I have varicose veins pretty badly in my right leg, and the twins are not helping that situation. I have 3 kiddos already, so I'm trying to balance them and rest.
Update- As of Saturday both babies flipped to head down! So I've had my c section scheduled for next Monday and now I don't know what is going to happen.
QOTW- Nothing has really surprised me. I haven't had a craving stick the entire pregnancy. It varies every day.
Can you please add me. My due date is August 12th.
I was released from my RE and had my first OB appointment today. I was disappointed to not get an ultrasound but they said since I had one 11 days ago at the RE they didn't need one. I did schedule my NT scan for two weeks.
I'm a nervous Nelly and just wanted to see them again to make sure all was well.
No real cravings yet. Although today I absolutely wanted a Pepsi, which I never drank before I was pregnant. So maybe the cravings are starting!
Hi all! I've been super irregular about posting but things are going well. Just had a check up today and the babies look great. I can feel baby A more than baby B and so I'm prepared to have two very different babies!
QOTW: Just food in general. I'm pretty much hungry all the time now and most things sound pretty good. We're having chili tonight and I can't wait!
Parents to:Oliver-6,Jillian Ivy-4, Ari Samuel-2 and
Update: had an appointment today and everything is going great. babies are measuring right where they should be 1 lb 2 oz and 1 lb 1 oz my cervix length is still good, I go into each appointment so worried and so far everything is going great.
we found out today we are team PURPLE!!! Baby A is a BOY! and Baby B is a GIRL!!!!
Haven't really had any crazy cravings or food aversions but the one thing I can't get enough of is Popsicles.
Update: My OB called me tonight (a first) and said that she wanted to follow up with the recent appointment with the MFM. She confirmed the IUGR diagnosis and said that she would like me to be packed/ready to go for each appointment that is scheduled for the next few weeks. Her goal for me was originally 38 weeks and now the goal date is 36 weeks. I'm pretty bummed and want to keep these boys cooking as long as possible. I also have found out that my platelet count has been decreasing steadily and depending on how the next few weeks go, I may have full anesthesia for the C-Section. Boo! Not a good day
QOTW: I haven't had any cravings stick longer than a few days, but usually it does involve carbs/sweets that I wouldn't have endulged in pre pregnancy.
