Ferber - Night #2

In case you cared, since I was all so popular today (you ladies really made a shitty day at work half alright...all that love right back to ya, as my girl Ellen would say!):

We went from about an hour nap routine, including 45 minutes of rocking, about 6-9 wake ups all with about 40 minutes of rocking to put back down, and not being able to fall asleep on his own to falling asleep on his own after 40 minutes of crying last night on Night #1. He also slept straight through until 6am for the first time in a week.

Well, tonight, SO put him down at 8:15pm. He laid there, contently, until he just dozed off at 9:05pm on his stomach. SO flipped him over and he stayed asleep. He woke up at 10:00, started crying, fell back asleep at 10:15pm on his own. My dumb cat woke him up at 10:45pm, he cried for 15 minutes, and was out by 11:20pm. So, we went from 40 minutes of crying to about twenty minutes.

Progress is progress.

I wish this would work for naps right away, but we're being patient. I think it was too much for him at one time, so after we're through the 7 days of Ferberizing at night, we'll move onto naps. Hopefully he cooperates and lets me do my 11 online assignments tomorrow (a little overzealous for the beginning of the semester, if you ask me...I hate when teachers attempt to look like they're so hard, this isn't a blow off class, etc. I know this isn't a blow off class, it's a 5000 level, asssholes).
