Kalina Oriana decided to come early
Long story short: On 1/9 right after I walked in the door from dropping my older 2 kids off at school, i felt some leaking and kind of just knew it wasn't pee. I was quite shocked as my water has never broken by itself. I hadn't even packed a hospital bag yet or anything, and we were planning on getting the house ready for baby this weekend. So I just threw a bunch of stuff in a basket and put my daughter in the car and off to triage we went. It was indeed amniotic fluid and she was still breech...so I was destined for a c-section, the complete opposite of the all natural hypnobirth I was planning on. Had the c-section that afternoon, it wasn't fun, very medical and I found the pulling and tugging very uncomfortable.The recovery has been very tough and painful, but I'm feeling much better today than I was, so I'm hoping it continues to get easier.
Kalina was born at 4:16pm on 1/9. she was 5lbs 6 oz and 19 1/4 inches (I was 36 wks +4 days). I got to hold her for awhile in recovery but then she had to go to the nicu bc she was having a hard time breathing. She was put on oxygen, IV fluids, and antibiotics. But by Thursday night she was weaned of the oxygen and was off IV fluids on Friday? i think. She has her last 2 doses of antibiotics tonight, and we will hopefully be going home tomorrow. We were officially discharged yesterday morning, but I am still at the hospital with her "nesting".

Congratulations!
Congrats on your LO's arrival. I'm sorry about all the messy stuff around it but I'm so glad she's doing okay now! T&P you guys get to go home together tomorrow.

Thanks ladies! We came home yesterday around noon. I'm feeling better and better each day. I was on tylenol for 5 days and didn't want to end ep with liver problems, so i switched to ibuprofen yesterday, it's helping a lot more than the tylenol, so i will probablt rotate between them. I don't like the narcotics bc they knock me out, and my pain isn't that bad anymore, I'm more sore than anything, so it's pretty manageable.
We took Kalina to the pediatrician this morning and she looks great. My milk came in on Saturday, and that's been going well. Her dr. said i don't need to supplement with neosure anymore (yay!) and she's 5lbs 3.5oz, and she was 5lbs 2oz when we left the hospital yesterday, so yay for that too. Hopefully the little jaundice she has will be gone in a week or two, we're going to go outside for a little bit later on today (it's a nice sunny 78 degrees here in florida)
Now to figure out how to post a picture!
