I'm losing my mind!

My poor little child (3 1/2 months old) just will not sleep at night anymore. We were doing so well- down at 8:30 up at 2:00 to eat and down again till 6, eat again and then up at 7:30 for the day. 2- 1.5 hour naps a day, and a short catnap before supper.

Then he got sick and it will went down the drain. That was before Christmas. Now he is still getting up every 2 hours at night, just to comfort suck most of the time. He has not taken a soother and still refuses it. He won't take a bottle at all although I've tried everything.

I'm so exhausted and I'm losing my mind. He used to be so happy during the day. Now he fights every nap and will cry the minute I put him down. He is only happy if someone is holding him and I cannot hold him every minute of the day. The only time I can get him to sleep anytime is if I rock him to sleep and then lie down with him on the bed and hold him. And I really don't want to keep doing that.

I'm going crazy!!!

This is more of a vent then anything...no one in my family seems to understand and they keep saying he'll grow out of it. And to top it off, DH has now come down with a bad cold/flu so he is no help right now either.

    It may be a growth spurt. My ds had a hellish one at that same age, also on the heels of an illness.

    It could also be the start of the 4 month wakeful.

    Have you taken him back to the pedi since?  He could have allergy issues you're not aware of that are causing him pain.  L had issues when we started supplementing w formula.

    If you have a bouncer you could try that.  It seemed to work magic for me when L was fussy most of the time.

    Thanks for all your support. I have a follow up appt on Monday to double check his ears which were starting to look like an ear infection so we started antibiotics since we were flying the next day.

    I have a Baby K'Tan which he does go in, but he has never fallen asleep in there. He just starts to get fussy and more upset.

    I'm hoping that this is a growth spurt and it will end soon!
    My DH just go back from the ER and turns out he has strep throat. So that really sucks. Now I'm just hoping that I don't get it!
