1st Trimester

Introduction

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi and that I am glad there is a place whre I can vent all my anxieties, frustrations and excitement about being a mom to be. I just married my husband last year and we have ben TTC for about 8 months. I am an older mom to be (32) . I just found out I am about 2 weeks pregnant  (very soon I know).  I am excited and nervous at the same time.  My DH and I have only told our parents and a few others until I am further a long so it's nice to come here and talk about things.  So anyways, I look forward to getting to know you ladies and share stories and secrets.

Re: Introduction

  • Congratulations! How are you feeling thus far?  I'm also a first timer in my 30s -- just turned 33 in December and found out I am 5 weeks along. It's hard to keep the secret! We've told our parents and two siblings, but there are 8 siblings between us. My sister in-law miscarried in the summer, though she's now pregnant again and due in May. Because of that, I'm a little freaked out. I'm a university professor and even though school just started, two people in two classes asked when I was going to have a baby. I had a hard time keeping a straight face or speaking for that matter. I think it mostly has to do with my age and the fact that I'm married w/out children, but still... I'm a little paranoid, like, can they tell already?!?!?! So silly.

  • Welcome & congrats! Is this your first? I'm also 32 :) But this is my second and the first is 9! So I might as well be starting anew! Good luck to you!

  • Hi!  Congratulations :D  I'm 30 and about 2 weeks also.  Nice to meet you!
  • this is my first pregnancy so every little thing has me worried.
  • Oh my gosh, every time I feel a slight cramp - I freak out. I can't seem to eat anything before checking to see if it's on the safe list... hopefully, the paranoia gets better for the both of us! :)
