Telling DH's parents tonight

We are Skyping DH's parents with the news tonight. We're telling my parents tomorrow night in person. I'm not even 6 weeks yet, but we figured we'll need love and support from our parents if we lose the baby. We have no idea how to do it. We've done this before so I don't know why, but I'm super nervous.

    I can't imagine your families would be anything other than delighted for you! I didn't beat around the bush, just told my parents to make sure they were sitting down and then said, "I'm pregnant." My mother's immediate response: "Hallelujah!" Big Smile

    Telling DH's parents went great! They are excited. Telling my parents was disappointing big time. My dad seemed shocked and almost annoyed. I'm an only child so I know the thought of having 2 kids is foreign to him, but it was so awkward I just wanted to leave. Ugh.
