Girl Name...?

Hi there :) So I don't know yet if I'm having a boy or girl, just trying to come up with some options.  I came across this name and wasn't sure at first, but now I'm kinda falling for it, as well as my mom.   The name is Mazie.  What do you think?

    It's NMS, but not horrible. My only concern would be that I don't think it ages well.

    This name has come up for discussion beforeit's not a terrible name, but the only Mazies I've ever met are dogs...and that was a popular response in previous posts about this name. Sorry:

    Maisie was my great grandmother's name. It's one of our middle name options. I really like it.

    I love Maisie and definately don't think it's a name that would get a lot of teasing (though I teach and in my 10 years, I have found that teasing peers because of their name doesn't often happen at my school- they definately tease eachother for other reasons but that never seems to be the topic).  I'm also not one to worry about how a name ages.  Maisie would have been on our list if we didn't already have a Mason.

    All I think of when I hear Mazie is a cow's name.  I don't think it's a name for a child and it certainly doesn't age well.

    Well thanks for the opinions. There are a bunch of different spellings that I've seen, wasn't dead set on one. I think it's a name that's adorable on a little girl as well as an older woman. I've never come across an animal with the name. But hey, the only Sadie I ever knew was a dog, and here it's a girls name.

    I guess I like nicknamey names. I hate the long versions of names, especially if the nickname isn't close. My other top choice is Kallie yes, a K.

    Anyway, I might not even have a girl, who knows?! Thanks again :

    I prefer Mazie (or Maisie) over Kallie!

    I don't mind Mazie. I know someone who recently had a baby and named her Sosie - I feel like it has a similar nn vibe. I like both. (I like Sadie too haha)
