So on my appointment yesterday my dr gave me my prenatal history in an envelope and told me I should carry it with me all the time from now on. Great.
So over lunch I started looking it over and of course most of it I didn't understand, but I was pleased with reading negative this and normal that until I got to the results of my second tri ultrasound where it read normal for everything, face, eyes, members, etc.... until heart: "see details" and on the bottom it said rv foci noted.
I googled it right away and for what I understood its some kind of calcification or something, but it just got me more confused.
I was talking it over with my husband and I'm not sure if I e-mail my doctor about it, because she never mentioned it at all and just keeps saying everything looks beautiful, so I'm not sure if I should be worried, or if I just wait for my next ultrasound in 2 weeks to see if it's still there, or if they bring it up this time.... maybe I'm freaking out for no reason, so I thought I should ask you ladies first to see if anyone know about it or had the same experience
Re: should I be worried?
I have never heard of a doctor giving you papers to carry around.
If you're concerned about that, then I'd ask your doctor about it either by e-mail or at your next appointment. I'm with the PP that the doctor would have brought it up if it were serious or a true concern.

I was given a copy of my records as well...I travel for work a bit, nothing more than a few hours away but just far enough that I could end up at a different hospital should something come up. Of course I am planning on delivering at my hospital...it's a 'just in case' thing so that any dr will have the most accurate information quickly.
I agree with the others, nothing to panic about, especially if they reassured you everything looks good...but if you're concerned and it's stressing you out, it couldn't hurt to ask about it at your next appointment.
I carry my papers too... from 36 weeks on we have to carry our files in case of emergency. So don't worry that they gave it to you.
Also... my LO also has a "spot" on her heart and has an issue with her umbilical cord. They said the heart spot alone is really nothing, its actually fairly common and goes away within a few weeks in most cases. I was only told about it because she had the issue with the cord as well.
Just bring it up at your next appointment and say you were curious. If they didn't send you for further heart tests then it wasn't a red flag.
Good luck
