I just saw on the news that Russia is postponing the ban to 2014. Hopefully that means those of you that have underway adoptions get to complete them. I'm thinking and praying for you ladies!
Didn't hear this, but if true that is awesome for those of you have started the process. Fingers crossed for all of you hoping to adopt from Russia this year.

I have been reading a little about this since we were about to put in our application before the ban. It looks like it is unclear how Russia will interpret the agreement they had ratified with the U.S. They might only allow adoptions approved by the court, but not yet executed to proceed. One of my friends is waiting for a court date after getting a referral, and her agency told her today that she most likely would not be bringing the little boy home, as Russia would likely not set any further court dates. So, it might be good news for those who have been to court, but not so good news for others. Guess we wait and see how they are going to interpret it.
TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!

The bolded part is what I believe to be the case. It's good, but it's not enough.

It feels horrible. We just finished our home study on Wednesday. DH is taking this really hard and I feel lost and numb.
We've tried on our own. We've tried fertility treatments. We tried adopting in Canada (6-8 year wait) so we turned to IA. We had a surrogate but she had some major life things happen (husband deploy, son having mental health issues) so we had to abandon that plan.
This sucks ass.
Jalara - I know you and your DH will figure something out. Keep the faith.

Malaria, I'm so sorry for you. Has Canada been working on an agreement with Russia? Is it possible for one to be in place before next year?
