Update on Baby Thomas

I know I didn't join this board until after DS became an October baby so a lot of people probably don't know my story story.

Andrew was growth restricted and I ended up being induced at 36 weeks. Besides some feeding troubles and jaundice, we were lucky and he did great. Tiny, but very healthy.

We had planned to start monitoring DS2's growth in the 3rd trimester so I had a growth scan at 28 weeks. He had dropped from being in the 47th percent to the 32nd. My doctor really wasn't concerned because everything was still very proportional on him [andrew had asymmetrical iugr]. Well, after an unexpected ultrasound yesterday, we discovered baby is now in the 15th percent and his growth is no longer proportioned. So I'll be going for weekly sonograms and monitoring but most likely, will end up being induced at 36 weeks or a little but sooner.

Fingers crossed and prayers are appreciated if we can keep this baby in for as long as possible!!

    I'm sorry you're dealing with this again.  My Evie was IUGR as well, found after a repeat anatomy scan when they couldn't get all the initial measurements.  We were very fortunate to keep her in until 37w when I had a c/s due to her also being breech.  I'm nervous about this LO having the same issues since I've heard it's common for subsequent babies to have it too.  I hope everything turns out okay with Thomas and you can keep him cooking a while longer!
